The Sterling Tavern

Fun, funky place, great porch, really friendly and helpful service. We arrived after lunch, fried green tomatoes with crab and wontons was great, hot dogs a bit disappointing (yes, I belong to a hot dog critics group!). Really fun, nice menu of craft beers.

My wife and I were staying in Berlin, MD for the first time and went to The Sterling Tavern based on reviews. We were not disappointed. We hadn’t planned on ordering Wings but I’ve learned to listen when a server makes recommendations with conviction, and our server let us know their wings were award winning so we ordered some of course. I am a big wing fan, but have gotten turned off the past few years because it seems like all you get get anymore are little wings without a lot of meat. Well, these wings are without a doubt my top 3 in my life. So delicious & meaty! We got Thai Chili I believe was the flavor. They were so good we are hoping to pick some up on the way home and have them for the NFL playoff games on Sunday!

At Assateague Island came to Berlin for lunch. Very busy in Berlin due to the Fiddlers Convention but we were quickly seated at The Sterling Tavern. We got our drinks quickly and the menu had a nice variety. Great grilled cheese and the bratwurst and pretzel charcuterie board was a hit. Very nice lunch at The Sterling Tavern.
