The Surf Villa Hotel has been a landmark in Ocean City since the 1920s. The hotel is conveniently located near the boardwalk and within walking distance to the amusement parks, shops, restaurants, marinas, and most of Ocean City's great attractions. One of our best features however, is that we are only 300 feet from one of the most magnificent beaches on the East Coast.

We invite you to enjoy the lovely ocean view from the rocking chairs on our front porch. Each morning we also invite you to join us in our family style lobby for coffee, tea, and conversation. We encourage a family atmosphere and welcome families, groups, and other organizations.

Each of our 25 rooms and our available apartment is unique in design, has a color TV with forty channels, and air conditioning. Our staff is available 24 hours to assist you and give you personalized attention.

You will surely enjoy staying at the Surf Villa. It is a clean and comfortable hotel which all visitors say has a personal touch.

My husband (insert side eye here) booked this hotel for a weekend. I would not call myself high maintenance by a long shot. But this is definitely you are getting what you pay for. Rooms are very small, dated. Had to hook tv up to my hotspot for it to work. We had to DoorDash a fan because the room was so hot (definitely needs updated ac units). Bathroom is a whole other story on its own. My husband is 6’4 and barely fit in the shower/bathroom. The water pressure and temp is some of the worst I have seen. To me this is a place great for younger kids, that want a trip without the high cost. If being comfortable is a priority to you, I would pay a little more and go somewhere else.
I personally would not come back.

This place is on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to places to stay, but I'm sure it isn't the worst. We booked the weekend before for just a Saturday night (1 night) stay.

Cons:
-Smaller rooms with little amenities just a TV with Roku. Simple.
-Shower was difficult to regulate temp, and subpar pressure.
-Limited parking
-No hotel amenities, i.e. pool
-No bike racks or sturdy areas for locking up bikes
-$15 dollar fee for parking that wasn't clearly mentioned in reservation
- A.C barely kept up on an 84 degree day.... recommend bringing a fan
-Limited power outlets (2)

Pros:
- Owner allowed us to park in the lot behind the building 4 hours before check-in …. this was a huge deal as parking in the summer is a nightmare and expensive... we didn't have to park elsewhere and move at 3pm …. allowed us to enjoy our day upon arrival.
-Location, Location, Location
- Nice porch to sit on and enjoy the sights and sounds of the main drag through town while enjoying a cocktail.
-Staff was friendly although our interaction was very sparse
- We book what we thought was a double bed, but were put in a king.
-Room and linens were clean upon arrival. No bugs or creatures to report.

For what’s it’s worth, we would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.

Me and my girl stayed in the third floor of this establishment. I really enjoyed it, front desk was nice and made the place feel like a home. Always helped me when I had problems. Only two things I could complain about are not being able to check out an hour late and the size of the bathroom but other than that everything was perfect and we had an amazing experience.
