We've been here 4 of our 6 nights so far and I'm so glad I booked this spot. It could use some updating (and the wifi isn't great) but the room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and we had everything we needed. It was dog friendly, had plenty of parking and we were right on the beach. The beach in front of our hotel was never super busy and there was an umbrella/chair rental right beside the beach access. The central location of the hotel made it easy for us to get anywhere in Ocean City within minutes. Our oceanfront balcony was perfect (only floors 2-5 can see the water) and there was a designated area for dogs.

TLDR- Hotel is nice, but the internet is almost non existent, and I wouldn't want to go back since management insulted me and brushed off my complaints about my neighbor constantly smoking on the balcony even though they run a non-smoking hotel.

I really wanted to give this hotel a glowing review. They have a great location, super easy access to the beach, good views, and a fantastic room layout that worked really well for us and our 2 little kids. I was even considering coming back next year and spending a full week at this hotel.

Unfortunately, we had two major issues. First, the internet and cell service (we have T-Mobile) is horrible. I don't know if this is a problem throughout the entire hotel or just our room location which was pretty far from the front desk. We basically could only use our phones on our balcony and none of the wifi services on the TV worked. Which brings me to my second and biggest issue.

When I first checked in, I had to sign a document that had a whole bunch of consequences if you were to smoke in your room. However, our neighbor in the room directly next to us was literally sitting out and smoking cigarettes constantly. Since he was technically outside, I wasn't sure if this would be considered part of the room, but Google said most hotels usually include the balcony as part of the room. So I complained to the front desk to see if there was something they could do, but he just seemed kind of surprised that I was complaining and the conversation ended without me really understanding if they were actually going to resolve the issue. The next day our neighbor was out there smoking again, so I went to the front desk and asked if it was okay for hotel guests to smoke on their balcony. The desk attendant told me no, so I complained about our neighbor again. This time she actually went outside to check if he was smoking and afterwards he kind of stopped so I thought maybe it had been resolved. Then on our third day he was out there again, so I went to the front desk and complained for a third time. I think I got the same guy that I complained to the first time and he didn't seem to understand what to do. He went into the back to talk to his manager and his manager said "So what you are dealing with is a snitch" and he proceeded to tell him how to handle the situation which included explaining that they can't do anything without proof and to ask me to take a picture of the neighbor smoking. He came back to relay this information, then went to knock on the neighbors door, and when he didn't answer he went outside to check if he was smoking. I don't know if the issue was actually resolved as I stopped using my balcony after that and we checked out the next day.

Because of this hotel guest that was constantly smoking, we felt we weren't able to use our experience we paid for to the fullest. We have two small kids and I also didn't want to expose them to second hand smoke. The smoke would even occasionally come through our air conditioner into the bedroom. In addition, we were barely able to have internet access since it only worked on the balcony. If the staff had told me they were okay with it, then I would have dropped it, but they made me sign a document about the hotel being non-smoking, confirmed to me he wasn't supposed to be smoking, and then didn't take my complaint seriously. Then they insulted me in the process of trying to address by calling me a "snitch." I would steer clear of this hotel if you want to ensure you have a good experience.

We had a great experience here! Beautiful location on the beach. We stayed in a suite with our family of 6 with an oceanfront view on the fourth floor. We had plenty of space and everything was very clean. We loved the size of the refrigerator and it was convenient to keep plenty of food and drinks cold. We did have to request sheets and blankets for the pull out sofa but they were quick to send us some when we asked.

The biggest perk for me was how quiet and peaceful this little hotel was and the beach was not overly crowded. Some of the larger hotels down from us had so many people that you couldn’t see the sand. Sealoft was conveniently located away from heavy crowds and we always found a good spot.

Hotel is also a few minutes walk from Belly Busters restaurant which had some of the best food we experienced in OC. Satellite Cafe is super close as well which also had amazing food for breakfast.

We were worried about parking because we were traveling with an extended SUV. Parking lot was a lot bigger than we thought it would be when we looked at the view on a map. Plenty of places to park on site and we never struggled to find one.

Pool is small but very refreshing and we enjoyed a couple swims.

Only con was the WiFi.. only worked in certian spots while inside the room. I don’t have unlimited data on my phone so I had to be careful using it so I wouldn’t go over my usage.
