Sea Hawk Motel

If your looking for a blast from the past this is your place! Very old decor from the 1970's! The green bathtub needs a good overhaul along w the green toilet and carpet! We had an issue w/ ants 🐜 and we didn't even cook or hve open food containers! Never been to a motel/ hotel that doesn't give you coffee either! You get what you pay for! It was clean but needs a good remodel! Beds were ok and very close to beach, downtown OC is probably 20 mins away!

Check in was easy and friendly. Parking was odd. Location was walkable or a short drive to restaurants. The beach was a short walk from the hotel, but it was very windy when we went so we didn't hang out long. I would call the room "retro", it was a throw back to the '60-70's. The ac was loud, but the room was clean. It had a mini kitchen and we had a view of the street and pool. I did like the quiet close toilet lid.
The only really bad thing was the window in the bathroom. It had mini blinds that were well used and it was at eye level on the outside. Being 2 women travelers, that window was very uncomfortable! If we had some duct tape, we would have hung a towel over it, but duct tape isn't in my traveling pack.
We stayed here while exploring Assateague Island (tip: bring mosquito spray if you go and want to get out of the car)

Anyone traveling with a big family, this is the place to stay. Overall good for the money. We stay here just about every year due to good for budget, local to everything, and it’s away from the rift raft of the board walk nonsense. Office Staff is awesome and very accommodating. Cleaning staff is awesome as well. Rooms are starting to get outdated. I would recommend replacing the beds and the ac units personally. Other then that the owners and cleaning ladies know myself and my family very well. Pool is great!
