Ropewalk Ocean City

From the belt driven ceiling fans to the cast iron whale or even the life sized statue of Ronald Regan there is so much to the ambience of Ropewalk that it will be a trip to remember.

I’ve made the mistake of dining in the evening and missed out on the spectacular back bay view and the kids missed out on the playground in the front.

The decidedly nautical theme of the restaurant is well earned with the impressive seafood menu they have. I however and not a big seafood fan so I had to find another option. Which honestly wasn’t difficult given the generous selection of dishes they offer.

My chicken Alfredo was a standup dish all on its own. A fascinating cheese based Alfredo sauce combined with the generous portions it was well worth the money. The blackened chicken on the pasta was overly generous but also a little overly spiced. No one complained about their meal though.

Service was yet another notable thing. Our server was polite, conversational and very helpful as she offered some excellent menu suggestions. She was agreeably fast with service, my drink never ran dry and it was genuinely easy experience all around.

The Ropewalk encompassed the entire personality of Ocean City in was convenient experience. I would strongly recommend giving them a try next time you are in town.

Excellent location for a sunset meal. The Delmarva Burger was nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. Great tasting burger and crab dip. The dip, while on the extremely salty side was excellent. It’s a salt water saltiness, not a too much table salt so I still enjoyed it. Really good skin on mashed potatoes. I think they’re loaded with butter but are super creamy. Best Patron skinny margaritas I’ve had and was surprised it was better than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Someone with me had the Mac and cheese but with blackened chicken and it was amazing. The cheese sauce seems house made and is extremely good. The capatavi pasta was perfectly cooked. Another person got the burger with waffle fries. Amazing cooked fries with a type of seasoning like Arby’s but better. I’d definitely eat here again

Ropewalk is a great family restaurant. The location is right on the bay and you get a front row seat to great OC sunsets. You feel like you are on a tropical resort with all the palm trees and decor. We sat outside in the beach area and it was really nice watching the sunset. There’s also a playground and a few bar type games. The food was really good. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The calamari appetizer was also very tasty. The service was great and the food came out in good time despite the restaurant being quite busy. The food is quite expensive, however. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great.
