Macky's Bayside Bar & Grill

Our server was really sweet. But the food was below average. We spent 3 days in OCMD and this was the only place we spent $120+ and the food didn’t make up for the price we paid. The food is def under seasoned. The Mac we didn’t even touch it was very bland. My potatoes were still undercooked, although the chicken was alright but cold. My bf enjoyed the fish tacos. It felt very rushed like they wanted to have all guests coming in seated. Anyhow I woke up next day throwing up so I know the food didn’t sit right with me. 🫠 I really think I was overcharged for very regular food, the most expensive meal we had in OCMD and it’s not even worth it. I would appreciate it if I could get a refund or some compensation

Nice atmosphere fun vibes but don’t come here just for the food

The food here was okay. None of us were wowed, but it was nice to see the bay. The waitress was friendly, just very quiet so I didn’t even know she was there talking to us until my daughter told me. The lobster macaroni had a lot of lobster in it and it came with a 4oz tail. It was pretty good. My daughter had an unsmashed smash burger with a crabcake on top. She said the crabcake was excellent. One of the things I didn’t really like is that there wasn’t a lot of people there, but I don’t know how they seat, and the hostess had to move stacked chairs out of the way and then put them back to allow my daughter to sit in the booth. She’s over 21, but I said if there’s an emergency that chair is going through the window first with my daughter following it! They did it to allow a larger family group to sit together with a high chair, but they could have A. Put us somewhere less awkward or B. Move the chairs to the other side where no one was sitting. Once we were served about 20 different types of flies showed up when they weren’t around 5 seconds before. Weird. Their photo op needed zhuzhed up a bit, it was starting to fall and look saggy. It was clean and staff was very friendly going in and out. I would probably try it again. This time hopefully it would be nice enough to sit outside.

If you’re looking for a fun, dog friendly spot in Ocean City, Macky’s is a must. The patio seating is perfect if you have your pup with you. They’re super welcoming and within 2 minutes of sitting, they bring out water fo you and your dog. They even have a dog menu, which is such a nice touch. The vibe is lively without feeling too chaotic, so it’s a really easy place to hang out and enjoy yourself.

Service was excellent. Big shoutout to Kyle for taking great care of us and making the experience feel personal. For food, everything hit. We had the shrimp, the crab cake, and shared a side of mac and cheese. All of it was so good and worth it.

Great food, great energy, and a place where your dog is just as welcome as you are. We’ll definitely be back!
