Lizzie's Cafe & Bistro 142nd St.

First time here and I plan on returning during this trip and every other time I’m back in OCMD! Comfortable, nice, clean atmosphere paired with excellent service and amazing food. What drew me in was the availability of gluten free bread. I recommend coming here regardless of food allergies or not, they are very conscious of allergies and hygiene. The food was stellar! I got the Maryland crab roll, New England lobster roll, lemon bar, and pecan bar. Everything was so incredible I can’t express how good everything was. I’m sad I have to travel to get this food again haha.

My fiancé has celiac and it is hard to find places to eat (he is also self conscious about it). The service here was phenomenal and they made sure to walk through their protocols of how they limit cross contamination (wiping table, water poured for him first, separate containers for food). When you order, they make sure to flag different allergies. They take celiac and all allergies seriously and want to make sure you have a safe experience. The crab grilled cheese was delicious and my fiancé was so excited to be able to have a meatball sub (as most meatballs have breadcrumbs — but these were gluten free). I am grateful we made the stop here and would definitely try more sandwiches!

We came down to OC for the first time this weekend with our adult daughter. She wanted a lobster roll and we loved the look of the place so we came by. My husband had the crab roll and I had the chicken sandwich. All the food was absolutely amazing. My husband is a chef in the Waldorf Astoria and he was truly impressed. Matt and his family who own and run the place are fantastic. They are so warm and friendly. They came out and had a whole conversation with us. We will be back to OC AND Lizzie’s for sure.
