Hyatt Place Ocean City / Oceanfront

Great hotels rooms in a great location. Friendly check-in staff. Fantastic ocean views from my top floor room. Super convenient garage parking below the building. This would have been five stars if not for the extremely disappointing breakfast. Very limited options compared to other Hyatt Place properties. Despite this, I would probably still stay here again.

It cannot be argued that the treatment at reception and the room service has been very effective. We visited the pool yesterday and a girl in the bar attended us very friendly and very attentive. She even brought us the drinks without any complaint and a very sweet treatment but today we were served at the bar a lady who is supposed to be the manager even asked me to move to another place where she felt comfortable so that I could place my order and I understand perfectly that it is for greater security to ask for ID when selling drinks for adults but regardless of the position we occupy in a company I think we should know how to express ourselves and more when we deal with different people because their attitude was not that of someone who provides his services to customer service was very unpleasant.

I spent three days, two nights here back in April 2026 and had a wonderful experience. I got an ocean front room. The room was updated and modern. Everything worked well. The breakfast was delicious and there were so many different options each morning. The location is perfect. Close enough to walk the main parts of the boardwalk (I walked all the way to the start of the boardwalk in about 25 minutes or so but it only takes maybe 10 minutes to start getting to the shops and food places) but far enough away to avoid the true crowds.

The staff members were very friendly and I was greeted every time I walked past the desk.

The only two things that keep me from giving this five stars is the parking is SO tight in the garage. I got lucky and found an end spot so it wasn't too bad. And my room floors could have been vacuumed a little bit better.

Oh, and if you like a nice gym, this might not be the place for you. It is very small and a little bit dated. The equipment has you with your back towards the only exit, so that had me feeling anxious being there alone. The bright lights are also directly over some of the equipment with lower ceilings, so it just felt a bit cramped. I'd love to see the gym be apart of the renovations that we're going on while I was there!

Other than that it was a great stay for the price and location, especially if you need a dog friendly hotel.
