This was my first review: Terrible experience
I am writing this review to express my complete disgust with our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Ocean City. After a three-hour drive with my husband and son, we arrived late at night only to walk into an absolute nightmare of a room. The cleanliness of this room was non-existent. The main floors were covered in dirt and food crumbs. The bathroom was vile—there was dried urine down the front of the toilet, hair covering the bathroom floor, and a completely grimy tub and shower wall. The sink looked as though someone had poured coffee down the drain and simply left it there without rinsing it out.The state of the beds was the most horrifying part. One bed was clearly remade with dirty linens, filled with hair and crumbs. Because it was late, I went downstairs to the front desk. Understanding the late hour, I simply asked for clean sheets so I could change the bed myself. We actually had to go out to a store late at night to buy our own cleaning products just to sanitize the bathroom so my family could use it. While we were stripping the dirty sheets and pillowcases, my husband removed a pillowcase and found the pillow itself covered in dried blood. This is a severe health hazard and utterly unacceptable. My husband took the blood-stained pillow down to the front desk to show the agent directly. We are completely disgusted by this experience. Walking into these biohazard conditions after a long road trip is inexcusable for any hotel franchise. I am requesting that IHG return most, if all, of the loyalty points used for this stay. I have full photo documentation of every single issue mentioned and will gladly provide it upon request. This location needs immediate administrative intervention) as you can see i posted it again.
I am writing to formally escalate a severe guest service issue regarding my recent stay I am an industry professional who works in a hotel myself. I know the standards of hospitality, and I would absolutely never treat a guest the way I was treated.Following our stay, the General Manager, Marie, contacted me. She was highly apologetic about the conditions, which included the fact that both my room and my friend’s room were completely uncleaned. We drove a little more then 3 hours for this stay, making this lack of basic cleanliness completely disgusting and unacceptable.During our conversation, Marie offered a "do-over" instead of the return of my points. She instructed me to discuss it with my husband and email her back with our decision. Out of good faith, I sent her the photographic evidence of the rooms and even took down my negative review.Since that phone call, Marie has completely ignored my emails and has refused to return my phone calls. To have a General Manager promise a resolution and then ghost a guest is a massive breach of trust and highly unprofessional.Because of this deceptive handling of the situation, I have put my negative review back online, and I am taking this matter to corporate .At this point, a simple "do-over" is no longer sufficient. I expect a full return of all loyalty points used for both my room and my friend's room due to the uncleaned conditions and the subsequent dodging of my communications.I expect a prompt response from corporate management to resolve this matter.

I can't believe how clean everything is. Everything was immaculately clean. I have never been in a hotel that is so well taken care of this close to the beach. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast buffet was decent and everything was fresh. We can see the ocean from our room so it is only a couple minute walk. Definitely coming back!

This a great location right on the beach. We had a balcony with an ocean view which was amazing! The staff were very friendly and the food was really good. The room does need a few updates because some of the wall paper is peeling, etc. Outside of that, everything was great!
