Holiday Inn & Suites Ocean City

I first stayed at this Holiday Inn in Ocean City way back in 2014, and honestly, the experience wasn’t great back then. The rooms felt old, and the pool was pretty gross, full of hair and just not clean at all. I decided to give it another try in 2025, and while I can tell they’ve redone a lot of things, like updated the rooms and cleaned up the pool, it still doesn’t quite hit the mark. The place looks better, but it still has that musty, old hotel smell that never really goes away. The beds aren’t very comfortable, and the pillows are super flat. It’s definitely cleaner than it used to be, but still not up to what you’d expect for the price. The staff was very nice overall, especially at the front desk,they were friendly, helpful, and professional. But there was one cleaning staff member who really didn’t do their job properly, which made part of my stay unpleasant. I’m not naming anyone because I don’t want to get someone in trouble, but it definitely stood out. The pool was much cleaner this time around, and they’ve clearly been keeping up with maintenance, which I appreciate. Still, for the price, I expected a little more comfort and freshness. Not the worst stay ever, but probably wouldn’t come back again unless they make some major improvements.

Valerie was absolutely exceptional during our dinner at Coral Reef. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcomed and cared for. Her attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine professionalism elevated our entire dining experience.

She anticipated our needs, offered wonderful recommendations, and checked in at all the right moments without ever being intrusive. Valerie’s kindness and upbeat energy made our evening truly memorable.

Pec went above and beyond to make our morning perfect. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly quick to take care of anything we needed—often before we even realized we needed it. Her welcoming smile and upbeat attitude set the tone for a great start to our day.

From keeping our table refreshed to checking in just the right amount, Pec delivered top-tier hospitality. You can tell she truly cares about her guests and takes pride in making every experience memorable.

This was the first year we were here with the heated outdoor pool open and it was a HUGE HIT! The BEST part of our stay. We usually come down the day after Thanksgiving every year for the weekend with other family members. The front desk said the pool is usually closed by now. You guys should really consider keeping it open for most of December and advertising that and the winterfest of lights. You guys would probably make a killing. The rooms are amazing with full kitchens, a table (great for puzzles) and a living room area. I had many people reach out to me and ask me where I was because swimming outside in November is unheard of. We are always impressed with our stay here at 17th street :)
