The hotel has obviously been renovated a few times. Old structure made to look new - not horrible though. Service was dreadful. I stayed several days. Most days I didn't want or need housekeeping, but the three times I took my "do not disturb" sign down, they still missed cleaning my room. The second of these times nearly made me late to my appointment. Additionally, someone spilled a soda in the elevator causing the floor to be sticky. I told the front desk when it still seemed "fresh", but housekeeping didn't mop it for 2 or 3 days. On top of that, there was a piece of a Ritz (?) cracker left in front of one of the rooms on my floor. That wasn't picked up for at least four days (I left the 4th day so it could still be there). There were ants in the pool room and sand in the two pools (indoor).
To try to balance the negativity above, the entire staff seemed to be very nice - especially the front desk.
I do wish there was more variety on the HOT breakfast menu. Everyday there was an egg dish, chicken sausage, and old potatoes, but it was good enough.
The view was great, I was on the 5th floor facing the ocean. I was, admittedly, too scared to walk onto the balcony as it doesn't look like it could hold much weight.
The pricing was very hefty because there was a major event (oceans calling concert) going on that coming weekend. Unfortunate timing for my trip.
Finally, and in a personal preference, the room set-up was weird. The TV was at an angle facing the opposite wall (west), but the bed and the seating were on the north and south side of the room. The mirror facing INTO the bathroom was weird too. Who wants to watch themselves use the facilities? 😅

My wife and I booked 5 rooms for our family to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary. The front desk folks and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating all weekend. Joe at the breakfast buffet was exceptional! He went out of his way to make everyone feel at home. His kindness and hospitality left an indelible mark on everyone that took advantage of your great breakfast. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

The stay at Hampton inn & suite hotel Ocean City, MD was great until we decided to use the pool and hot tub.
For some reason both pool’s and hot tub’s water was literally cold.
That was the only disappointed thing, anything else was great even with some showers/weather.
Good breakfast, a lot to pick from.
Friendly staff and helpful.
Great location!!
I strongly would consider it to stay again.
