Econo Lodge Oceanfront

We stayed here only because of the location and how close it is to the beach. Great views, we even got to see 6 dolphins. The room was fair, I agree with most of the other people, it could use some fixing up. We stayed for a week and I was so thankful that the elevator worked every time. The main thing we was concerned about was the window in the hallway was open and the wind was howling so bad, and this was 3 nights at 2 am, couldn't get much sleep because of the howling. The cleaning staff was very pleasant and friendly. Plus we got our fresh towels and etc quickly. The pool area was nice. At least we got to swim. The breakfast area was little. The manager was really nice and friendly. Great prices for the time of the season. Oh, yes, I just wish the toilet seat was higher because I had some difficulty getting up and down due to my hip replacement and back. Didn't have any handle bars to help me get up. Thank God for the bathroom door being right in front of the toilet.

Don't stay here. I will never come back here. We checked out early because the place was so disgusting. The room smelled so bad. Everything metal was rusty including the fridge and microwave. There was mold. The wallpaper was coming off the wall. The phone wasn't hooked up so we couldn't just dial 0 for room service. The thing that holds the iron was just hanging out of the wall. It came loose and was never fixed. You have to check in at a different building than where we were staying. The parking is scarce and the spaces are small. The breakfast is a joke. There's no room for more than 3 or 4 families. Our toilet clogged in our room for no reason. The elevator broke down twice (we were only there for 3 days). The pullout sofa was gross. The mattress was so thin and it had mold on it. My daughter had to sleep in bed with me. When I asked for clean sheets and a comforter I was told that there's no night staff and I have to come get it myself. Even then I only got a fitted and flat sheet. I wanted to strip the entire bed because I'm sure they don't do it after every guest. This place is disgusting. If you're thinking of going there just don't.

Love this hotel and so reasonably priced. Loved waking up each morning and watching the waves crash on the beach from our balcony. Super sweet people who run it. Very clean especially the indoor pool. They also have an outdoor pool that looked amazing. Cannot wait to visit again
