Beware of room 321....

The reservation process was seamless, check-in was outstanding, and the warm cookies are always a welcome touch. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended.

Room 321 was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel rooms I've ever stayed in.

The room itself was clean, well-appointed, and overall attractive. However, none of that mattered because getting a decent night's sleep was impossible. Throughout both the day and night, some type of mechanical equipment or motor would randomly come on every 30–45 minutes, producing a loud buzzing and humming noise that lasted approximately 10 seconds each time. It was disruptive during the day and absolutely infuriating overnight.

To make matters worse, the sound insulation between this room and the one to the left appears to be virtually nonexistent. We could hear everything happening in the neighboring bathroom (including everything dropping in the toilet) as if it were inside our own room.

Whether this issue is unique to Room 321 or affects this tier of rooms, I can't say. What I can say is that the lack of sleep and constant noise completely overshadowed what otherwise could have been a pleasant stay.

I expected far better. Between the mechanical noise, paper-thin walls, and sleepless night, this room fell well below expectations. Highly disappointed, exhausted. Will I stay here again.... Yes. This is the nicest Doubble Tree I have stayed in and have high hopes that other rooms are far better. Will I ever stay in this room... H3ll NO and nor should you!

UPDATE:
After confirming my late check-out which was offer at the time of reservation and confirmed at check-in. I recieved a call at 11:10 asking about our departure. Which asked about the late check out confirmation. The attendant (Fidel) told me " You should have requested that this morning. But we dont have a late check-out for you." How many confirmations do you need? And how would I know to do that (for a 3rd time) when I dont work here. Utterly pissed.

I like the Hilton brand but our stays in Ocean City, MD will be had at Marriott moving forward.

My daughter and I came for a one night quick beach getaway. We received the warmest welcome from Pat at the front desk. He was absolutely wonderful. He was so friendly, courteous and helpful. He asked us to let him know how we liked the room once we saw it. In all of my years traveling, I've never been asked for feedback on my assigned room. We had a lovely stay at the hotel and will absolutely be back.

We were here during the off season. Love the atmosphere. The calm and serenity in this area. Close to fast food restaurants and local cuisines. The room was great and spacious for our small family. The pool and jacuzzi were nice, the kids enjoyed them. Looking forward to come back again next year.
