Carousel Hotel

We recently stayed at this hotel with our son and our family, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
The biggest issue was the treatment we received at two different restaurants on the property. Our son has special needs, so we politely requested to be seated in quieter areas away from large crowds to help him feel comfortable. Instead of showing understanding, both restaurant hosts gave us attitude and made us feel like we were asking for something unreasonable. We shouldn't have had to go back and forth or justify why we were requesting a certain seating area. A little kindness and compassion would have gone a long way.
To make matters worse, the pullout couch in our room was completely broken. When we contacted the front desk, their solution was to have us move rooms at 10:30 at night. After a long day, packing up our belongings and relocating with a child that late was not a realistic or acceptable solution.
While the hotel itself has potential, the lack of empathy from staff and the way these issues were handled left us very disappointed. Families with children, especially those with special needs, deserve to be treated with respect and understanding. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and provides better training so future guests have a much better experience.

This is my summer family vacation review. 2026 July. We have stayed here several times in the off season and it was great.
We decided to rent a condo for our summer vacation. This trip fell way short of my experience during the off season. There is extremely to many people for the facilities they have. The outdoor pool was very crowded and the pool was not very clean. There was oil and hair floating in the corner.
The inside pool was better but it was inside summer vacation is outside in the sun. We do the indoor pool during the off season.
The condo was ok but needs updated for the price. At check in there was a fight because the person behind the counter let someone cut the long line and it pissed some people off pretty bad. Security stood there while the participants screamed and cursed one another. For what is framed as a resort does not deliver in some big areas.I will not be staying here during the summer again.P.S. check out was 10 am and with 2 elevators we waited 1/2 hour to bring our stuff down and this was 8:30am.staggered check out would be a better idea. SMH

I’m only giving 2 stars because of the amenities and location and fairly quick responses to the inconveniences I had. First and foremost, my rooms weren’t ready on time and I had to wait an additional 40 minutes. After that, one of rooms had issues with the key cards given and I got them replaced. I still had issues and so they sent security to “fix it.” My stay was for 4 nights. Every single day we were here, we had delays getting into the room CONSTANTLY. One of the rooms had GREAT AC and the other, didn’t go below 70 for a day or so even though we had the temp to go as low as 68(only because it didn’t let us go lower). Maintenance came up to “fix it” and brought the temp down to 63 and gave us access to lower it. We brought the temp down to 60 and my room never went below 66. And even at 66 being shown on the thermostat, my room felt like it was still the previous 70. My room was muggy and humid and hot. I was in my room with my husband and 3 of my children. I had to use a portable fan on my babies crib to give him air and use the box fan from the closet for my daughter. On top of all of that, the elevator on the side of the resort I was on, was out of service. So I had to bring a dolly, my cart, and the stroller and walk around the entire resort to access my room with my 3 children. And when housekeeping came to clean up the room, they only made ONE bed, removed mine and my husbands clothes from on top, made the bed and then only put my husbands clothes back. My sons bed was exactly how we left it. They had taken ALL of the towels we had and only left us ONE towel. ONE. & then when we asked for additional towels, the lady came to my room with ONE washcloth. I had to ask for more towels AGAIN. This was our first time here after it being recommended by family and I will probably never return. I am so disappointed by this room especially when we paid as much as we did for our stay. Being in a hot room with 3 kids was not the experience I had hoped for. Aside from the arcades in the resort and the easy access to the beach and pools, it wasn’t all it’s hyped up to be.
