Beach Bum Inn

We stayed here for a few days since our usual option was booked up. Our rooms were fine but there were some small weird stains on the pillows and the sheets 😒 It’s fine though, it was close to the beach and they had a small breakfast setup. It was fine for a few days because we never really stayed in our room 🤷

The only thing good about this place is the location, which is a shirt 1-min walk from the beach. The staff are relatively nice and helpful. However, the bathroom is incredibly small, with a sink no bigger than my face, and it smelled like mold. The WiFi is slow like a snail most of the time, so it’s less frustrating to just use your phone data instead. The TV is super small and ancient, with a poor and sad selection of channels. I would recommend it only if you are really on a tight budget.

I was excited because I saw some good reviews but I should’ve read more. $100 security deposit and I’ve seen people have issues getting it back so Im concerned if I’ll get mine. The fridge smelled like fish bad, Tv was smaller than expected, Tv remote didn’t work, stains on the bedding- (not dirty but not bleached white, we shouldn’t have to smell the sheets and see if it’s clean), the bathroom door was barn door style and the bar was slanted so it was slamming if you didn’t slowly shut it. The WiFi was pretty slow. The “pool” room wasn’t ventilated well and the smell of chlorine was over powering and burning our eyes. The pool can comfortably fit 4 people, it’s only 3 feet deep. It’s more of a big jacuzzi that’s not heated as warm as you’d think for an indoor pool. There’s no built in seats or anything so you just stand in the water and get bored. The shower pressure was alright but could’ve been better. The bathroom sink was very small. Hard to fit stuff for 4 people. The room size itself wasn’t horrible. Got a room for 4 people and only has two seats with the table. The best part was how well the AC worked. The toilet paper was so cheap, I’ve honestly never seen toilet paper so thin. The TP at the boardwalk public restrooms was better than the hotel. They didn’t have a sign for housecleaning so we had to sit the towels and rags outside and hope we got them throughout the day. The walls were pretty thin so we lucked out to be on the top floor. I had to ask for towels and the guy at the front desk told me there was none currently because they’re being cleaned, I went upstairs and the second floor linen closet was open, plenty of clean towels and rags so I went back down and informed him that they do indeed have clean towels. I will not be staying here again
