Assateague Crab House

This was our favorite find in Ocean City! I wish we knew about it earlier in the trip because I'd love to come back again. We showed up on a Saturday night with a party of 9 and we were seated in less than 5 minutes.

The cream of crab soup was so good, packed with flavor & crab meat. I took a gamble on the soft shell crab BLT and was not disappointed. It was delicious! The cole slaw, hushpuppies, fish & chips, crab cakes & green beans were also very yummy.

But our favorite part was our server, Beth! She was an absolute sweetheart. We will definitely be back!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Food was excellent and the server was so helpful with suggestions. My husband and I shared the platter with lobster, blue crabs and snow crabs. I also had a single broiled crab-cake which was the best I have had. Hush puppies are also wonderful! Since this place is seasonal it wasn’t open when we visited Ocean City before. So glad we got to try it this time!

Do not recommend going. Staff was friendly and courteous, but the food wasn't. For the sampler, our shrimp was over-cooked and very, very salty. I almost returned it. We peeled the skin and used the sauce to rinse some of the salt off. The fish in my fish tacos were also over-cooked and dry. Their mango salsa wasn't that great. That was dry too. It did have a sauce on it with a good kick to it that saved it though. I've had better at Applebee's. The bloody Mary was refreshing, but could have used a little bit more flavor. The best thing we had were the stuffed mushrooms, but there were only four. Our fish and chips were returned because it was brought out as a sandwich.
