Ashore Resort & Beach Club

Came for The oceans calling Festival. Had stayed here last year and really enjoyed it. Loved it again this year. It's far enough away from the festival to feel like you're having a separate vacation from just doing the festival and yet easy enough to access the festival via the shuttle or Uber. I really enjoyed the restaurant, The tap room, and the bar on the deck. Made good use of the hot tub, too! Took some nice walks on the beach. Had a terrific time. I'd like to give a shout out to the director of food and beverage, Jimmy. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, I found him to be active, engaged and working hard to ensure that all the guests in the dining room were completely satisfied. There was great chemistry amongst the staff which, to me, indicates great leadership. Nice job, Ashore. It's a great spot. We'll be back.

A solidly okay stay for a conference.
Pros: beachfront location, semi-updated space, spacious room, convenient to conference, staff was lovely when I asked them questions. The fitness room was never crowded and had a filtered water station for bottle refills.
Cons: renovations look like they were great when originally done, and have not been well maintained. Rooms and hallways had dirt / smudges on walls and bathroom corners had dirt / hair that wasn’t mine 🥴. For this price point, I’d hoped for additional amenities like a water station on each floor (even every other!), lobby coffee service in the am (or at least k cups that are not expired in the hotel room) and slightly higher cleaning standards. I understand it’s off-season and maybe there’s more intention around cleaning / maintenance when it’s busier.

We had our wedding at Ashore Resort & Beach Club this past May, and it honestly couldn’t have been better! The hotel is beautiful, bright, and right on the beach with amazing ocean views. They set us up with a block of cabana rooms right off the reception space for us and our wedding party, which made the whole weekend so easy and fun.

The ceremony and reception spaces were gorgeous, the food was incredible, and the staff was awesome! I have to give a huge shout out to Lisa Wilgus, the wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond for us from start to finish. We are still so thankful to her and the whole Ashore team for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

There were a couple of small hiccups along the way. The facility could have been a little cleaner (though with the white, light colored furniture I know that is tough), and there was a mix up with the getting ready cabana suite for me and my bridesmaids on the day of. But everything was worked out, and Lisa made sure we had exactly what we wanted in the end.

We cannot wait to come back and stay again and celebrate the anniversary of the best day ever!
