Americana Hotel Oceanfront

Great location! Steps away from the beautiful beach and boardwalk! The staff was always friendly and very accommodating! Special shout out to Bree!!! Love her! She worked in the evenings at the front desk and was always smiling and friendly, I felt like I knew her forever! Keep her around and give that girl a raise! The only minor complaint is the slow elevators but it was a busy weekend. Me and the hubby look forward to coming back next year for our 21st anniversary 💕

We were scheduled to stay from June 5–7 (Booking #12852328). Unfortunately, on May 28, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were involved in a fatal car accident. During that incredibly difficult time, planning for a vacation was the last thing on our minds.

On June 3, I contacted Trivago and provided all requested documentation, including the obituary, to request a refund due to the family tragedy. Although we had missed the free cancellation deadline, the circumstances were extraordinary and well documented.

The Americana Hotel offered only a $211.80 refund on a reservation that cost $780.88. We were given 48 hours to respond, but those 48 hours coincided with funeral arrangements and the burial of our loved ones. As a result, we lost the opportunity to recover the remainder of our money.

We understand that hotels have policies, but compassion and flexibility during a family tragedy would have gone a long way. This experience left us extremely disappointed, and because of how this situation was handled, we will never stay at this hotel again.

Service, management, staff and maintenance were incredible and friendly. The rooms were nice, clean and roomy. The heated pool was amazing and the view of the beach from our room was to die for. Would definitely book here again.
