Aloft Ocean City

The location is decent and was one of the better aspects of our stay. It’s conveniently located near several restaurants and shops, which was nice, and you can catch some beautiful sunsets from the property. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The only staff member who was even somewhat friendly was the cleaning lady. Everyone else seemed bothered by the idea of providing basic customer service. The floors in our room were absolutely filthy and looked like they hadn’t been properly mopped in ages 😳 This is also a dog friendly hotel, there were many dogs but all were well behaved and well groomed during our stay. One thing to be aware of: patrons who drink at the outside bar (and stay in Aloft sister properties) are also permitted to use the hotel’s facilities, including the indoor pool. That may be something worth knowing before booking, especially if you’re traveling with children or looking for a quieter pool experience. Overall, the location has potential, but the cleanliness and customer service need significant improvement.

So not happy with this hotel. Never went to a pet friendly hotel before I guess. Dogs bark obviously. But oh my god, it’s not a 21 yr old club and music has vibrated my room from 3 pm and it’s still going after 745 pm. Can’t take a nap. Not clean to my standards. Hallways are dirty, smell, marks on walls. Grime at bottom of mirror and shower. Would never stay here again. Not sure how they don’t have water with their ice machine.

Overall, everything was great. The hotel was clean and felt very new. The rooms and service were very good. Even the hair dryer was surprisingly good quality, unlike the cheap ones most hotels usually have. The only downsides were the location — about a one-hour walk to downtown — and paid parking. Check-in and check-out process was smooth.
