Sun Outdoors Ocean City

Unfortunately, our stay at Castaways was disappointing, and I don’t think we’ll be returning.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. The bathrooms were not clean, and there were bugs all over the countertops, which was very unpleasant.
We also had multiple issues with the golf carts. We rented them only on the days we planned to spend at the campground. The first golf cart we received had no charge at all, but the younger woman in the front office and the older gentleman were very helpful and quickly exchanged it for us. The second time we rented a golf cart, an older woman in the office questioned why we were renting one on a daily basis and even asked if we had returned the previous one, which made us feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately, that replacement golf cart also had no charge, so we had to exchange it again.
Service was inconsistent throughout the campground. At the pool bar, the bartender was on his phone having a personal conversation while we waited for about five minutes before he acknowledged us.
On a positive note, the staff in the camp store were wonderful, and the activities director was hilarious. The kids absolutely loved him and looked forward to the activities. The shuttle bus driver was, without a doubt, the best employee we encountered during our stay. She was very friendly, welcoming, and went out of her way to drop us off at our campsite due to the rain and she made the ride enjoyable.
While there were a few bright spots thanks to some outstanding employees, the cleanliness issues, repeated equipment problems, and inconsistent customer service outweighed the positives. Sadly, based on this experience, we don’t plan to stay at Castaways again.

Huge Family Friendly RV Resort. Clean pools, that they very strictly regulate and close for contaminants. Lots of activities to do and scheduled events. Quick drive to Assateague Island to see the wild horses. AMAZING! The beach access within the park is nice and clean but busy. The docks are cool to watch crabs and mussels. 10 minute drive to Ocean City Pier.

We stayed for a long Father’s Day weekend and it was out first time here. We absolutely loved everything! The cabin was gorgeous practically brand new, the pool, the hot tub, the beach, the tiki bar, the entertainment was first class all the way. The employees that work there are so attentive and go the extra mile to exceed everyone’s expectations. We love Frontier Town too, but this was more of an Adult Vibe-so peaceful and tranquil. We can’t wait to come back again-thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience!
