La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

My experience at La Quinta Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, was unsatisfactory in several aspects related to cleanliness, maintenance, and value for money.

From the moment of arrival, there was a strong odor in different areas of the hotel, including a noticeable dog smell. Although this is a pet-friendly property, that should not affect cleanliness standards or the overall condition of the environment.

The pool was in poor condition and appeared to be poorly maintained, and the room also showed signs of neglect. The air conditioning system did not work properly, and overall the room did not reflect the level of maintenance one would expect.

Another important point was the cost of the stay. The approximate price of $1,800 for five nights does not correspond to the quality of the facilities or the level of service received.

Overall, the experience did not meet expectations. I believe the hotel should improve its cleanliness standards, maintenance, and general conditions in order to better justify its rates and provide a more appropriate experience for guests.

With an ocean view for around $200 a night and a dog-friendly hotel in Ocean City, I don't think you can ask for much more from a La Quinta. The free breakfast was a nice touch before heading out for a day at the beach, and you're only about 200 yards from the ocean. I honestly don't know what some of these reviews were expecting at this price point. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place in a great location, this hotel is hard to beat.

The manager was really held and had a good high spirits. A couple staff members were also kind and personable, i am appreciative which is why I gave 3 stars to say it was OK. but the room was not the cleanest 😩 it was “2” dirty pillow cases, the towels smelled off .. like maybe mildew as if they were left in the washer. The floors outdated with skid marks (that’s owners problem of course), the pull out couch.. wretched really dusty dirty with large brown stains, unbelievable. It just was not a good cleaning job. My family came to enjoy ourselves I don’t get off work much so we made the best of it didn’t complain just asked for new items. I cleaned and disinfected myself upon arrival. Lastly I’m keeping an eye on transactions I was asked for my card three times for a hold and resort fee since I booked 3rd party it makes sense still suspicious. I ended up paying a resort fee of 10$ cash before leaving as the front receptionist suggested. I wasn’t giving my card up a third time. I asked for receipts and wasn't able to get one. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Also to me it was way too much access for outsiders to come in especially from the restaurant, people were cool but it’s not safe at all. Will we return? No, thank you.
