La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

The hotel is beautiful and feels new. Our room, an efficiency suite, offers plenty of space for a family of five. Our room has 2 queen beds, a pullout sofa, 2 really nice arm chairs, along with desk and office rolling chair for seating and sleeping. The "kitchen" offers a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and small 2 burner electric cook top. The hotel is under construction (December 2025) but as a guest, you would never know. The rooms, hallways, lobby, and entrance all have fresh coat of beautiful colors and new furnishings.

The staff we encountered are pleasant and cheerful. They appear to enjoy their work and interactions with guests and each other. The manager on duty for the weekend is beyond pleasant, efficient, and responsive to offering assistance.

Heads up:
if you are shorter than 5'6" (like me), the beds are on platform and height is about 3.5 ft off the floor. (Hip height for 5'3" me)
- shower curtain does not protect from water escaping and pooling on the floor by the tub

Wife and I stayed here while we were attending the Oceans Calling music festival. The floor in our room was sticky and dirty. It look like it hadn't been swept or mopped in a very long time. But, nothing compared to the smell in the hallway. We were in room 108 and the hallway smelled like a dumpster. I actually looked to see if there was a dumpster on the ground floor near our room. Didn't find one, but I did find their attached "restaurant" Oceans 13... the smell was coming from them... it was a combination of old fryer oil and days old bait left baking out in the sun. It was disgusting!!! The entire hotel looks like it's been road hard... it needs to be cleaned top to bottom. The morning we checked out there was a huge puddle of water in the hallway. Water was dripping out of an air vent. The only positive I have for this hotel is the staff, they were friendly. For the amount we paid for the "privilege" to stay at this dump, I had expected way more.

The only thing I think they can improve on is to have chairs outside on the balcony to sit . Everything else was perfect the breakfast was more than satisfying a few different choices, we enjoyed the waffle maker they were delicious. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Also it was close enough to the beach to walk and there are Town buses that run constantly to get you to the boardwalk or any place else you want to go The pool was nice too it wasn't deep but it was very refreshing . I would definitely stay here again.
