La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

With an ocean view for around $200 a night and a dog-friendly hotel in Ocean City, I don't think you can ask for much more from a La Quinta. The free breakfast was a nice touch before heading out for a day at the beach, and you're only about 200 yards from the ocean. I honestly don't know what some of these reviews were expecting at this price point. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place in a great location, this hotel is hard to beat.

The manager was really held and had a good high spirits. A couple staff members were also kind and personable, i am appreciative which is why I gave 3 stars to say it was OK. but the room was not the cleanest 😩 it was “2” dirty pillow cases, the towels smelled off .. like maybe mildew as if they were left in the washer. The floors outdated with skid marks (that’s owners problem of course), the pull out couch.. wretched really dusty dirty with large brown stains, unbelievable. It just was not a good cleaning job. My family came to enjoy ourselves I don’t get off work much so we made the best of it didn’t complain just asked for new items. I cleaned and disinfected myself upon arrival. Lastly I’m keeping an eye on transactions I was asked for my card three times for a hold and resort fee since I booked 3rd party it makes sense still suspicious. I ended up paying a resort fee of 10$ cash before leaving as the front receptionist suggested. I wasn’t giving my card up a third time. I asked for receipts and wasn't able to get one. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Also to me it was way too much access for outsiders to come in especially from the restaurant, people were cool but it’s not safe at all. Will we return? No, thank you.

We stayed at La Quinta last summer because we’ve stayed there before and wanted to bring our dogs since they are pet friendly and we’ve stayed before with no issue. This last time we arrived to a dirty floor dead battery’s in the remote and ants crawling up the wall from the trash can next to the bed. We called the front desk about changing rooms but they were full and they said they didn’t have batteries and they offered us to come down and get a can of raid to kill the ants ourselves. Every time previous we have had no issues with this hotel. It was clean comfortable stays until our last stay. My wife contacted the new manager after our stay, she said she was new and she needed to talk to the owner about compensation for the terrible stay we had. So months go by and my wife reached out again and was given the run around and was promised a call back from the manager either on Sunday or Monday of this week because the manager was in a meeting but still nothing. This place was a awesome hotel clean very accommodating and pet friendly. The funny thing is I noticed on booking their rating has gone way down from what it was. In my opinion if this hotel actually cares about their guests they should fire whoever is in charge of running this hotel immediately. They obviously have no clue how to run a hotel or to actually keep guest happy. It’s clear they don’t care about the quest happiness or keeping the rooms clean. There are plenty of other hotels in O.C that would appreciate our money. My wife called Friday May 1st and was told the manager was in a meeting and then proceeded to leave her name and number with the front desk asking for a call back anytime on the 3rd or 4th and it now the 7th with no call from management. Does that seem professional?
