First off I want to say we were surprised to see Marina Deck has been changed to Jackspot. The name needs work. I've been eating at Marina Deck annually for the last 10 years. I left reviews and updates to my reviews every year. Going in the new place had some big shoes to fill.
We sat upstairs, where we usually do and saw the place basically looked the same. Some updated umbrellas and chairs but mainly the same. The menu is much smaller but I believe that's a good thing as most of the items I really never ordered. I stuck to my favorites. There are some odd menu items like Beef Empenadas and Potstickers in the appetizers section along with Carolina Pork BBQ Sandwich and Pulled Pork Tacos in the no knife no fork section. On the water I want seafood not BBQ or Beef Empenadas.
Another oddity when ordering drinks the menu clearly says Coke Products, but I ordered a Diet Coke, and the waiter asked if Diet Pepsi was okay. I changed my drink order to an unsweetened iced tea. Let me say when the drinks came out I don't believe I've ever seen half sized pitchers for drinks before. We all laughed so hard but for $3.99 it's a heck of a deal.
I had to have the cream of crab soup as Marina Deck in my opinion had one of the best in OCMD. It did not disappoint. I do wish they had a bowl instead of a cup but the cup of soup was delicious and a little spicier than usual. It may have been the old bay on top but I enjoyed it a lot.
We got a 1/2 lb. of shrimp which was slightly overcooked. I believe that was due to carry over cooking as the shrimp was still hot when it came out. The chef needs to account for carry over but I'd order again. The Seared Tuna was excellent. I'd dare say the best thing we had. Don't miss out on that.
We also got the Salmon which came with rice and green beans. The green beans were nicely blistered from the cooking process. Needed a little salt but that's why it's on the table. The salmon had a blood orange vinegarette on it which was delicious but I wish the rice had some drizzled on it as it ate bland and dry. The salmon was a little over cooked again I believe from carry over cooking bit just a touch. I prefer my fish slightly under in the middle. The portion of salmon was huge which was surprising.
We also had some less exotic food with chicken and fries along with a burger and fries for the kids. My kids enjoyed the burger and fries. The chicken was just okay.
The biggest surprise was the total for the meal was under $150 before tip. This is for 4 adults and 2 kids. Now we only had 1 alcoholic drink but food prices along it was on par with what we paid for our pizza and pasta the night before.
Now would I recommend Jackspot....yes I would. If you think you're getting the old Marina Deck you sort of are. It still feels like the Marina Deck albeit the place wasn't as packed as I'm used to seeing it but that may be due to the name change and the lost nostalgia. We gave it a try and we're happy with the experience. I would definitely rethink the name and maybe tweak the menu to be more seafood/surf turf centric but all in all it was a great dinner and a great sunset.

We sat in the indoor open deck area by the main bar on the first floor. This is a nice new restaurant with an upstairs and downstairs bar area and dining seating area. Both areas overlook the water. I got a key lime crush and double smash-burger. Both were very good!

We tried the crab dip (excellent), the cream of crab soup (tastes the same as previous owners/excellent), potstickers (excellent), pulled pork tacos (excellent with tons of pulled pork) and jerk chicken salad (excellent). Our waitress was great.. overall great place to go for an excellent meal.
