Friends invite us to celebrate their anniversary last year and again this year their 25th. Just like last year. The hotel takes pride in being attentive to its guest's. You can tell the moment you pull up to unload your bags. You’re greeted by Vince who’s always smiling and helping you with your luggage. Not to mention that to our surprise we also noticed Vince performing, playing his guitar and singing vocals to the latest hits. Not to mention, then sounded pretty good. Second year in a row we were delighted to have Kris as our bartender who Gave us immaculate service, great conversation, and and plenty of laughter during our entire weekend. Chris was the only star in the bar area so was the the managers as for our rooms. They were perfectly situated all ocean views with balconies not to mention the 3:00 PM hot cookies being served at the reception station all we had a great time and this will be a ritual for us moving forward
Thank you to a great staff. Great location will be back. Chris keep them coming!!!

We just stayed at the Hilton Garden in this past week and unfortunately, will not be planning to stay again.
Pros:
The bell hop, coffee shop, housekeeping staff and restaurant servers were so so kind. We enjoyed getting to know them and each of them went above and beyond their jobs to make sure we were taken care of.
Cons:
We booked a suite months in advance. It was important for us to have this type of room (and at over $500 a night, we had high expectations) because we were traveling with our 1 year old. We arrived one hour after check in to be told that they overbooked and we would not be able to get into our suite until “maybe” the next day. They put us in the smallest room which had mold all over the bathroom. We also had to fight for over 2 hours on the phone with our credit card because they were going to charge us the full rate even though we did not get the type of room we booked, which was hundreds extra. We ended up asking for a refund and wanted to just check out because it was such an awful start and they denied a refund. We were told a manager would speak with us and they never did. We were also told they would let us know as soon as possible when we could switch our room and they never called, we had to keep checking in. It honestly ruined the first half of our vacation. They comped breakfast with vouchers and I ended up seeing a ton of people with breakfast vouchers, so I can only assume there were other issues.
While the hotel is pretty, the coffee shop was convenient and the staff was hospitable, it’s disconcerting that a hotel can overbook without a care in the world and think they can still charge you for a room you didn’t stay in.

Where to begin?
We were married here when it was Dunes Manor. We used to visit as many as 12 times a year!
We decided to give it a chance! I'm sorry we did.
1. The front desk assistants are nothing but rude.
2. The bar staff was less than helpful. Waited 15 minutes for the bartender to tell us to wait at the end of the bar and then she played on her phone.
3. We love dogs, at home. Not in hotels. The whole place stinks. The carpets are so gross, covered in animal urine. The cleaning staff sprinkles some heavily scented carpet powder and then it smells like floral scented dog urine.
4. The air conditioner wasn't working properly in our room.
5. The room was COVERED in bugs.
7. The day we left, there was a warning on our car that we we at risk of being towed! We were parked in the hotel garage!
All of these years and we NEVER had any of these problems when it was Dunes.
We did address our issues with guest services only to be told that animals are welcomed guests and they didn't have any rooms that we could be moved to.
If you're looking for the comfort and hospitality that once resonated here, you won't find it. It's incredibly disappointing.
