I want to start by saying the location was amazing! Could not ask for a better spot. The people working there were super kind as well… however the rooms smelt awful (not like urine like others said just a really weird smell) but it was pungent. It’s super outdated and the beds were said to be queens but I would say fulls and that’s pushing it… I think they are the original mattress from when they opened their doors back in 50s… they were beyond squeaky and bouncy. I felt like I was on a twin sized water bed all night. The rooms also felt super dirty we did go out and buy disinfectant and we did have a couple of bugs in our room. The walls/doors/tubs were all stained and I’m pretty sure our lamp was from the 50s as it was more rusted than anything I’ve ever seen. With all that said I want to reiterate that the staff were so sweet and the location was incredible (hence the 2 stars). The place just needs to be gutted and all rooms need to be refurbished.

Well first impressions weren't great, the front lobby needed a good vacuum, trash in floor but the check in people were very nice and were able to get us into our room about an hr earlier. We went to hang out by the pool, the tables and chairs were in serious need of repairs and could have used a couple of coats of paint, trash laying around, lots of sand in the pool, all things that could have made their place look better with some good old elbow grease ( paint, vacuum, pick up trash, & pool maintenance,). Our room was nice and clean for the most part. I understand this place is going to be shut down after next yr ( I'm not sure if renovated into something else or torn down) and I'm sure they didn't want to put any money into it but I think there were things that could of been done to make it more presentable. Paint doesn't cost much and vacuuming goes a long way. Did I mention the smell in the parking lot from the dumpsters? 🤮 The pool outside was a refreshingly sub zero temp 😂, the inside pool was nice & warm, the hot Tub was just a huge NOPE, with all the foam & bubbles on top (do a little research on what that stuff is, you won't be frequenting hot tubs again). And again, a little cleaning would have went a long way, on another note the art work on the wall in there was amazing. As far as the employees it's was mixed reviews, the check in people were amazing and very nice but my SIL had an encounter with the what I assume was the overnight crew ( it was around 6 am) that was really rude. They were standing outside the side entrance (that was unlocked the whole time we were there) and an employee came along, saw them out there talking, looked dead at them and locked them out, when they finally came back in (had to walk back around to front entrance) as soon as the employee saw them walk in he looked right at them and took a sign and put it up that said " I'm on a 15min Break" and put his feet up on the desk and laughed at them. Another employee that was actually vacuuming the hallway seemed a bit perturbed that he had to stop to let my mother with a walker get by. We got these rooms OFF SEASON ( labor day & week after) and paid a pretty discounted rate for the rooms so we weren't being to crazy picky about everything but IF I had paid full price at the going rate that these rooms go for in O.C. I would have been pretty upset with the quality and up keep of this hotel. Would I stay again?, not at the going rate for an extended period but a 1-2 night stay for the discounted rate MAYBE.

The location and amenities are wonderful! Loved the hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, and the game room for the kids was great. When we first got in our room had to call front desk, our kitchenette was filthy. They did come right away and cleaned it. The more we looked around tho, there was stuff under the beds, toilet and tub were dirty. Among other things. So as for the place it’s self I give a A+ but, house keeping was terrible!!
