Commander Hotel & Suites

Rooms could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival, floors dirty. Kitchen in Cabana suites very convenient, loved the large deck. Location was great, free chair rentals very nice amenity! Outdoor pool big and very clean! (Indoor pool not so much). Parking can be an issue. Bring your own brooms to clean up sand on hard floors during stay. Staff very friendly. Overall great stay!

A very great choice!! This hotel was able to fit us in last second when our other hotel bailed on us. The ladies at the front desk were absolutely wonderful, And very patient on the phone as I was audibly frustrated with the situation I was in. The first floor room opens up a porch that shared with one of the best pizza places I have ever tried, and has stairs right down onto the boardwalk. Rooms on the upper floors have their own porch. It has two pools and very nice, spacious rooms. Only downfall is that the roots are hardwood floor so if you carrying any sand or dirt from outside, you’re going to feel yourself walking all over it. Even provided with complementary chairs for the beach and bikes in the morning if you get up early enough to grab one!! They also offer complementary coffee in the lobby from 6 AM to 11 AM

Overall, compared to other budget type hotels that I’ve been to I’d give it a 5 star. Allow me to detail a couple things on the other hand!

Room:
-The metal tub is legit dangerously slippery. Upon stepping into it the whole family found themselves slipping.
-Seen mold on the lamp shade and the sliding door curtain handle to the balcony. (SEE PHOTOS FOR VALIDATION)
-Floor inside the room needed serious attention as it doesn’t appear to be swept nor mopped correctly.
-Balcony is large and covered so you can enjoy sitting and relaxing.
Service:
-Interacted with multiple staff members and they were friendly and very personable.
-Accommodating to anything we requested such as towels etc.
