Well let’s just say at least the food at tide water was great !… Besides that check in was at 4 pm , my room wasn’t ready until almost 2 hrs. Later ,Which was okay things like that happen all the time so I was understanding . I was told I was on a waiting list after checking in at 12pm . But Other guest that came hours after me , was able to get a room … But then once I did check in , I stayed in room 1511 , my room was not cleaned properly/sanitized , trash still on floor , food crumbs on the carpet as well as visible stains , bathroom counter had stains on it , the the glass sliding doors had dog saliva and prints on it , and the room had a Oder . The towels in one of the bathroom wasn’t folded neatly …. At least the bed was made up but after experiencing lack of cleanliness in other areas, it’s questionable if the sheets was even clean. Spoke with the supervisor of house keeping and he made sure someone came in and vacuumed and swept but the dog saliva was still on the window . ….then of course the hotel is pet friendly , and I’m allergic . So the fact my room wasn’t cleaned properly my allergies was terrible my whole stay … once was enough for me , wouldn’t be staying here again

One the pro side: the hotel is right on the beach, and liked that room was carpet-free. They have a pretty atrium type room.
On the con side: our room - booked for 4 - only had 2 towels total, and the wall mounted body wash and conditioner were empty. We called the front desk a couple times and got no answer. My husband went down & got towels and was told housekeeping would have to fill the soap etc. Housekeeping left bottle of conditioner the next day, but we never did get body wash. We were also charged a $35/ day resort fee; for this amount we figured we’d at least get 2 new bottles of water a day, but nope… not sure what this fee covered. It was $20+ for a glass of nothing-special wine. We ordered food outside and it was never delivered … we got the charge removed but took quite awhile. There were 3 elevators that always had a line. No major issues, but lots of little ones & definitely not worth the price we were charged.

(This is an *updated* review. My last review was from 2017) Let me start by saying my annual work conference led me back to the Clarion Fountainbleu. By this visit, the hotel was remodeled and there were some changes to the footprint of the building. (the indoor pool has been removed in favor of an atrium) The rooms were "refreshed" and at first glance, it looked very nice. However, when my wife inspected the room closer, she found the bathroom floor had dried urine and the rug under the bed was dirty. By this time, my wife was convinced the room probably wasn't cleaned and we had housekeeping change the sheets. Also, the room was poorly lit even with all the lamps on, it was dark and there was no microwave.
As for the "refresh" the room showed signs of wear and tear, but I normally don't knock the hotel in a beach resort area due to the high occupancy.
At checkout, I explained to the desk clerk not to charge my company's credit card and I gave him my card. He still charged my card and I had to spend my first day back at work sorting out my credit card and the job's credit card.
Overall the housekeeping staff were nice and the hotel looked nice, but I had to downgrade a star.
