Sun Outdoors Ocean City

So after I posted in regards to a NON First Responder discount and non response, I received a call from OCMD Sun Outdoors. The person was very nice and understanding. She explained that although the website states open, it was indeed closed for four months. Regardless of being told no first responder discount on multiple visits to this location, she confirmed that there is indeed a discount and she will be applying that discount to my reservations. I have not yet seen the email confirmation but I will take her at her word. Sounds to me like Sun Outdoors needs to better coordinate the information they put out in relationship to their locations. Also, my complaints and inquiries to corporate had never been answered from corporate. I am assuming they pushed it to the local resort folks, who like I said were helpful. We shall see how things go, but for now I am satisfied.

Such an amazing place to stay! We rented out a tent site during the Oceans Calling festival and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff from the time we got there until the time we left was so kind and attentive. The showers and bathrooms were clean, and the shuttle too and from ocean city was perfect! We will definitely be back in the future.

I have yet to stay at this campground. I have a pending trip planned for July. The reason for the 1 star review is bad business practices. On Black Friday I booked a 40% off sale for a week stay the following summer. I just checked this morning (1/9/25) and It’s the same exact price. There was no sale. Just an artificial one to create urgency on the buying end. The ole “a shirt is $20 normally let’s make it say $30 and 33% off. You’re back to the normal price.” I hate bate and switch sales practices. So dishonest. Considering canceling trip.
