Sea Hawk Motel

We have been staying here for many years. Always a great experience. Rooms are a bit dated but always spotless. I watched housekeeping a couple of mornings over my coffee and they are on the ball! The staff are extremely friendly and always eager to help. Pool area is always well kept and clean. Can't ask for much more. See you next year.

Mediocre motel. Although mini kitchens are in room, the appliances are decades old. The first room they put us in smelled of urine and we asked to move. The second room smelled of mildew but we stayed because at least it wasn't urine. No signs of bedbugs but housekeeping was not very helpful. I ran out of something and had to go find them because the phone in my room was not working. And when I found their office, I was told they didn't have it and that I'd need to go to the front office. Must places I've stayed, housekeeping was responsible for stocking rooms not the customer? Anyway, other than that, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the location was excellent... only two blocks off beach and convenient to many stores and restaurants. Also the north bound bus stop is right out front. Wi-fi sucks. It's not a Hilton/Holiday Inn but good for someone on a budget not expecting to spend much time in the room.

Sea Hawk motel was PERFECT! All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the room and all the facilities were clean. I even noticed that they take great care of the flowers and bushes on their property. Traveling with two small kiddos, my absolute favorite feature was the blackout room divider between the beds and sofa- I was able to stay up a bit longer than them. The sliding doors to our balcony (which faced the main road) worked well to keep the sound out. That with the ac, we couldn’t hear traffic at all. Short walk to the beach, a perfect pool, and quick elevator. The bathroom had the original tub- which I love but I could see certain kinds of people saying “needs updates”, but please don’t! It’s perfect as is. You can tell it’s all been taken care of over the years. The room had a full size fridge! And the kitchenette was so nice to have. It all kind of reminded me of staying in small hotels in the British Virgin Islands, just what you need and no frills. Can’t wait to come back, thanks!
