We checked in on August 25. We are staying until August 29. When we first walked into the hotel, the lobby looked fair. Walking through the hallways it is severely outdated. The carpet needs to be ripped up and it needs to be painted really bad. We got to our room. The doors are awful. They haven’t been replaced since the hotel’s been open, all you could smell was orange air freshener everywhere. There were no spare towels available because they had no hot water. My sister and I are wondering if they didn’t have any hot water how are the sheets washed? We definitely feel like our bed was not completely changed. There is no comforter you get two sheets and an itchy polyester blanket. That is definitely older than I We definitely feel like our bed was not completely changed. There is no comforter you get two sheets and a itchy polyester blanket. That is definitely older than I don’t know what. The room had two towels and two washcloths. We had to go ask for towels and washcloths. We were told we could get them later and we didn’t until we went and asked for them. The air conditioner would run and then shut off Completely until we turned it on again. We did not have any cable they claimed it was being worked on. We ended up getting it a day later later in the evening. The free coffee is absolutely horrible. I suggest you bring your own coffee pot or make sure you look for places where coffee is sold. The pool area is OK but I can tell you the pool was not clean the whole week we were there I saw a guy test the water one day, and I never seen any chemicals, put in the pool or freshwater added. It was quite the disappointment. The location is a good spot, but this hotel makes enough money. I am sure to have it remodeled you put a new floor in the bathroom, but you left all the old wallpaper peeling off the walls. For what people pays to stay here I think it could’ve been a lot better and more to offer such as a free breakfast and really fresh coffee. I am not sure if I would stay here again. Probably not!

Stayed here June 11-15, 2025. Family of 4, kids 4 and 9. Room was small and dated, but manageable.

Pros: great boardwalk location. Pool was good sized and had a bar and good food offering. Room was inexpensive.

Cons: There was no place to hang wet clothes that they wouldn’t drip all over the bathroom floor. Parking is small and tight at the hotel and extra parking was a few streets over. Beds were smaller for two people to fit in them. We had asked for our room to made up Friday afternoon and were told they didn’t have a crew available and it would be done Saturday but that never happened.

Would I stay here again?
If I was bringing my kids and planning beach time, no.

If it was just me and wife and we didn’t plan beach time, maybe if I didn’t have any other options.

Let me start off by saying if you are looking for your "typical" hotel experience, or looking to be pampered, then this is absolutely not your hotel. Just like other people have said the rooms are very small, but ours was clean and at least appeared to be a little bit more updated. And we had a good size fridge and microwave, but it was TIGHT to move around in. And it's very hard to hang things up to dry, so bring a clothesline or something else. But when it comes to the hotels on the boardwalk, with oceanfront views, you can't beat the value you get with this hotel for just having a good time. I don't think I would want to come with my children because of the small space, but for us coming as an adult couple we had a very good time. You cannot beat the location and ease of getting to the beach, the pool, the bars, or just using the boardwalk. The pool honestly was probably one of the best ones that we saw as we walked up and down the boardwalk many times checking out other hotels. All the other pools at other places were always empty, while the one at Plim Plaza is nice and big and convenient to use, especially with the bar right there. The staff there is very chill about coming in and out and bringing items down to the pool. The downside of that is that they were a little too chill when it came to small children being unattended running around the hot tubs diving in and out of them. This happened more than once without a single hotel employee saying anything about it. Also in general their staff just isn't that great. Anytime we went and asked for something at the front desk, the people working it just really didn't seem like they wanted to help you do anything. Also, the cleaning staff was kind of inconsiderate with the way that they hung out in the hallways playing music while they stood right outside your door in the morning, or literally just being in the way and not moving while trying to walk the halls. We did meet one very nice young lady who was doing the rooms, and she was very helpful. But other than that, I don't really have much else nice to say about their staff, or being able to get anything that you need.
Overall I would come back to this hotel again, if it was just the wife and I for a couple of days here, just to come down and enjoy what the boardwalk and the ocean have to offer. That is what this hotel is good for. I would never come with my family and stay for an extended period of time. It is an older style hotel, and certain parts could definitely be cleaned up a little bit better, but in the end you always get what you pay for. Lastly if you are lucky enough to get a parking spot it's great. I couldn't imagine having to use the overflow parking down the street, as we used our car as a holding vessel for our beach stuff due to the small room.
