Plim Plaza Hotel

I travel all over due to my daughters being competitive dancers and I must say, this hotel was one we will be coming back to. It was convenient as the beach and boardwalk was right off the hotel, the live music and bar is so nice, the staff were very friendly, love the pool/hot tubs as they were clean and the guests were also friendly. The only negative thing is the rooms are small and they aren’t cleaned daily.

Do not recommend. Terrible experience and ruined vacations.We booked a 6-day stay for $1,300 three weeks in advance based on the website pictures, but the reality was completely different. There was an unpleasant odor starting right in the hallways. The first room assigned to us was in the back, tiny, foul-smelling, and the bathroom was dirty. We requested a refund to stay elsewhere, but Plim Plaza refused.After demanding a room change, the second room was even worse. The bed was too small and uncomfortable, there was no soap or shampoo, and both the sheets and towels had yellow stains. Additionally, the hair dryer did not work, and the toilet was clogged. We reported all of this to the front desk, requesting cleaning and assistance, but they completely ignored our requests.Our vacations were not good at all due to all the terrible discomforts at this hotel. Everything was horrible and dirty. I would never recommend the Plim Plaza hotel, and I would never go back to that place.

I booked a corner room with ocean view.

I couldn’t see the ocean because the windows were so disgusting from the inside. There were smudges and fingerprints all over them.

The room smelled of mildew the minute I got close to the door in the hallway, I hadn’t even gotten into the room yet before I smelled the mildew.

I immediately left and did not stay the night.

I called in the morning to check out of the hotel and get a refund for the second night. The manager on duty was nice enough to start. Said the building was very old and there wasn’t much they could do about the mildew smell but she would check the room and call me back.

She called me back and backtracked everything thing she had said on the first call apologizing for the room not being clean. I did not expect a 5 star hotel, but I did expect the windows in my ocean side room to be easy to see out of.

For it being off season, you’d think the music blaring from the restaurant on the ground floor would have been quieter. But at 10pm it was blasting nonsense to only the staff.

I do not recommend staying here. This hotel has really gone down hill. You pay for what you get.
