Ocean Mecca Motel

UPDATED REVIEW.. ..also Look at the Reviews for Ocean Mecca before booking because this hotel has changed names...This is my review from a brief experience this past weekend....ALSO DO NOT BOOK FROM ANYONE BUT THE HOTEL ITSELF, other reservation sites have been creating scams.

The location of the hotel is great, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful — especially with parking, which we really appreciated. We were on a last-minute weekend road trip and booked this place around 10 PM, as it was one of the few options still available. The total cost for the night was just over $500, which is definitely overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. We walked in to find a fly swatter hanging on the wall, noticeable stains on the carpet, and an uncomfortable mattress with dated bedding. The overall condition made us uncomfortable, and given that we were already eager to get back on the road and closer to family, we decided to leave immediately after checking in.

To their credit, the staff kindly refunded us, which I appreciated — that’s the main reason I wanted to give them 2-3 stars. Also, the manager, a very friendly female, has AMAZING customer service skills which is also why I am giving this place more stars.

This place has potential thanks to its location and staff, but it really needs some updates or a more reasonable price point to match the current condition.

Excellent getaway motel. Not outrageous with their prices and location and parking are unbeatable! Need to upgrade their mattresses though

This place is a joke. Overcharged us. Out of 150 rooms we were the ONLY people there. Found dirty cups under bed. Thinking nobody else was there we asked if we could change rooms. Obviously the owner only cares about the money...Location is nice but choose a different motel/hotel..
