Ocean Lodge Hotel

What a wonderful stay! A lovely hotel, room was fresh and clean, A/C worked great, bathroom was huge, good shower pressure and bed and pillows were very comfy. Parking was great too, large spaces and most were under the building so we appreciated that. The friendly and helpful owner and front desk personnel were awesome, excellent customer service, I can’t say enough how impressed I was. Boardwalk super close as well, just a couple short blocks, an easy walk. And you’re about in the middle of the boardwalk so lots to do to the left or right when you get there. My husband and I were heading from NJ to home in NC and only needed a one night stay but if we had more time, we definitely would have stayed here longer, it was 5 stars all the way! Highly recommend!

At first, it looks like a nice place. But then you get into bed and you see sand on the sheets. The towels had stains on them. It was pretty nasty. We had to change our own sheets a few times. The floor wasn’t Clean…. This place needs a whole new cleaning service and new towels, and new sheets…… they didn’t give any hand towels and every day I went in the shower I would see an old washcloth on top of the shower bar that wasn’t any of ours…. You cannot make this up….. I feel like it looks like maybe they clean the shower with with a washcloth and just left the dirty washcloth on top of the shower bar… I do not recommend this place at all to anyone and it wasn’t cheap….

This hotel is disgusting and if you see any reviews that gave this place a five star is probably a friend or a family member of the owner of this hotel, I will start by saying The towels had a yellow dingy look to them, there was not one clean white towel , they also did not give you any hand towels, there was an old wet washcloth thrown over the shower bar, The sheets and pillowcases had stains on them . We called the office. They brought up new ones. We had to put them on ourselves. I’m sorry but when I go on vacation and i’m paying a lot of money for a room, I’m not there to work, but we did put the new sheets on and Those were also stained after the THIRD time around, I was done. I called the office asking for a manager, but they said the manager wasn’t around all weekend, It was 11:30pm on a Friday night I called almost every hotel in the area and not one hotel had any vacancy, unfortunately, we had to stay in this nasty hotel. I slept with a sweatshirt on and hood over my head, fully covered, with my socks on and that’s how I slept for three nights. When we went to check out, the manager was there and I explained everything to her hoping she can give us some kind of a discount but she said she said can’t because we slept there. I told her we tried to get a room somewhere else, but there was no vacancy anywhere and all she could say was it doesn’t matter. We slept here so we have to pay full price, and then she said the next time you come here, Maybe we can do something for you, I laughed so hard and I said do you really think I would ever stay in this place again. There was a woman standing behind me, waiting to check out She heard our conversation and she said they only got there last night and they were checking out cause their room was disgusting. These rooms were not cheap. They were almost $300 a night with all the taxes and the fees, we also had to pay $10 a night for parking even though on their website, it says free parking, I would NOT recommend this place, I didn’t even wanna give it a one star, but there was no option for no stars.
