Monte Carlo Boardwalk

We stayed here summer if 2024, it was great. We booked again this summer but added an additional day as it was so much fun! I paid $700/per night in 2025 and approximately $550/per night in 2024.
I mistakenly did not included a pull out couch on my reservation for this year. I assumed Ocean Front rooms were all similar. Our room was the tiniest hotel room I’ve stayed in, in my life. The refrigerator was approximately 2.5 feet away from the bed. The small table also interfered with walking through the room. We had to put a chair on the balcony to allow more room
I discovered on day 2 my kids mattress topper was damaged and profusely soiled. The front desk attendant came to our room and viewed the soiled topper and could have cared less but told me a manager would replace it and reach out to me in the morning. 1:00pm rolls around and I stop by the front desk to inquire and the disgusting bedding, same girl told me “they’ll get to it eventually “
The finally changed the bed that afternoon. I looked the following day and they LEFT the soiled mattress cover on and simply changed the sheet. Dates are in photos for proof.

There was no housekeeping, you had to go to the front desk for towels and toilet paper.

Truly the best location where it was close to everything there was to offer on boardwalk and a few foot steps from beach! We had a stunning view on our corner balcony facing the pier where we spent a lot of time relaxing on it most of our trip. We also loved the rooftop pool and its incredible views of both the ocean and bay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but wish room service could have come in more often and not just by request. Our ceiling had lots of stains on it but the rest of the room felt pretty clean. I would stay here again.

Plus:
The Hotel and rooms were clean and seemed to be recently renovated. Staff was kind and pleasant.
Minus:
There is only one elevator for the entire building and was always in use. There is only one ice machine for the entire building and couldn't keep up with the amount of guests using it. (When it was actually working)
DOORS!!!!
It appears that when the renovations were done, the room doors weren't adjusted to the new floor height. I had to fight my room door when opening and closing it. It was also difficult to lock at night as the deadbolt no longer lined up with the door frame.The scraping sound was like that of finger nails on a chalkboard I did hear other guests mention the same issue.
Don't accept room 502 for your stay is all I can tell you....
Other than that, would most likely go back.
