Madison Beach Motel

We had a king bed, but the room was small, even for 2 people.
The air conditioning kept shutting off for a minute or so, and the room became extremely hot. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they came right away to investigate, but of course it kicked back on while he was there. We ended up buying a fan to keep us cool at night.
The bathroom door kept coming off the hinges (it was a sliding door, without a handle) and I had a hard time getting out.

Upon arrival the parking is a tight squeeze.
Front desk staff very friendly and pleasant.
Our room was 2 double beds, with nice linens and very comfortable. Bathrooms were a tight fit. AC unit worked well. The floors are vinyl wood boards, very pretty and practical and easy to clean beach sand off. There are 2 rinse off stations. One near the vending machines ( this one the lower foot spray was broken, the other is by the pool.
There are scattered benches outside of the rooms and a lounge area/ sun deck with spaced boards coverings. The pool is a bit hidden, way smaller than what the photos show. It was quiet, clean and enjoyable. 2 umbrellas at the 2 round tables, and lounge chairs too. All the staff were friendly and pleasant.
This is a budget friendly motel, customers were varied from young adults, family’s, older adults. Everyone did their own thing, but were respectful
Of other guests.
You are close to Assateque Islands state and national park with the wild ponies. Nice day trip to enjoy their beaches and see the ponies.

The rooms are very clean and nice. The customer service was wonderful and staff was very helpful. The location was perfect for us; not directly in the boardwalk but right across the street. The only issue was the shower didn’t have very much water pressure, so got people like my family who have very thick and curly hair, it took a while in there.
