It's been a fabulous adventure since we purchased the land in 1978, which then was a corn field. In 1981 we started building the Big Barn on the Bay. It took 6 months to build. The gala Grand Opening was in June of 1982 and some 1800 people enjoyed the festivities. Throughout the years we would travel and find awesome artifacts for our customers to enjoy each season.

We offer the best when it comes to crabs. You can grab some to go in our famous Wooden Caboose, or dine in with us in the Barn or at Sneaky Pete's overlooking the bay. Either choice is a welcome one, we just want to offer the best in service and a smile on your face as you enjoy the meal we have planned for you.

So Come Make Memories With Us! And we'll make sure it's one you won't forget.

Absolutely love this place in Ocean City, MD! If you’re looking for a good meal and a fun experience, this is the spot. The atmosphere is so laid-back and welcoming. You’ve got a massive restaurant, but the outdoor dining on the pier really steals the show. There’s even a jet rental downstairs, swings in the sand where you can just relax, boat seating, and a great little bar right over the bayside. Such a cool vibe all around.

On my latest visit, I tried the crab empanadas and took advantage of the all-you-can-eat crab. The portions were a bit small, but honestly, the crab was surprisingly meaty and flavorful. It was well-seasoned, not overly salty, which was a nice surprise. The empanadas were stuffed with crab and cheese, and had this Tex-Mex feel, really tasty! We also sampled a few local beers, which really added to the experience.

The menus are a little different inside versus out on the pier, but it’s all the same restaurant. Service was great—friendly and attentive the entire time. Just an all-around great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

This is an amazing place! We happened to see it when we were driving by and we're really glad that we did.

It's a really cool place with a ton of stuff hanging on the walls, or from the ceiling. There's even a gift shop.

Dinner was really outstanding. It was probably the best meal we had in Ocean City Maryland and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. They were really great with our dietary restrictions as well.

We started with a few appetizers, the crab chowder (which was very good), the shrimp (which were very well seasoned and cooked), and the basket of crab claws (which was probably our favorite thing that we ordered). The crab claws come well seasoned with a mallet to crack the claws and the blue crab meat was delicious!

For dinner we got a couple of platters, one platter had snow crab legs, lobster, and a fried crab cake, and the other platter had flounder, shrimp, scallops, and broiled crab cake. Everything was delicious and well cooked. It was the best crab cakes we had our entire trip!

Hooper's Crab House is now one of our favorite restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland and one we'll be going back to every time we're there for sure. We highly recommend checking out Hooper's for a great meal!

Food was great, it wasnt too packed when we went. We sat right on the water in a boat. Tables could of been bigger but we ordered so much food. It is pricy. Between 3 of us we spent $247.00 and we only got 2 drinks 🍹 . Are waiter wasnt as attentive as i would of liked him to be. We had to go get our own bar. And our friends had to sit at a separate table because there wasnt a table big enough for us all and they had to go get their own bill. Nobody was in the gift shop working.
