DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront

My family and I stayed here while traveling through several states on our vacation, and this was one of the highlights of our trip.

The location is fantastic—right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and other attractions. It made getting around Ocean City incredibly convenient.

As a Hilton Honors member, the front desk was able to check me in early, which was a huge help after a long day of traveling. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. The front desk staff, managers, bell staff, and everyone we interacted with were friendly, professional, and genuinely willing to help. They assisted with our luggage, answered questions, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The room was very clean, and I want to give housekeeping special recognition. One of the first things guests notice is whether a room is clean, and they did an excellent job keeping everything spotless.

The hotel itself is well maintained overall, but there are a few minor maintenance items that could use some attention. Some of the furniture is beginning to show normal wear and tear, there are a few cosmetic areas on the walls that could be touched up, and one of the switches near the bed wasn’t working. None of these issues affected our stay, but addressing them would make the hotel feel even more polished.

The pool was clean, the beachfront location is hard to beat, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing family vacation.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Great customer service, clean rooms, an unbeatable location, and a staff that truly cares about their guests. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ocean City.

Overall, an okay stay. Some room concerns, like the balcony and outdoor furniture cleanliness, dirty coffee maker, and the need to have a technician come out to fix the microwave that wouldn’t stop beeping. We also looked around for longer than I’d like to admit, for a phone. The signage in the room kept referring to “dial pound xx” so I assumed we had a phone. Then was told this room didn’t have a phone at the moment. The cleaning lady was very nice, attentive and always stopped us to see if we needed anything. An issue that followed us our entire stay was the pool towel situation. Any time we needed a towel at any of the pools, we were greeted by empty towel racks. The one outdoor pool without the bar needed some serious upgrades. Wobbly handrails, and a good cleaning and attention to everything. The pool bar bartenders were great. That outdoor pool was also very nice. The restaurant was great for a quick happy hour after a long drive. Manager was helpful. Very close to everything. Close to the boardwalk, on the beach, great restaurant and entertainment options nearby.

Clean.
Dinner service was excellent.

Room was small for the price.
Balcony was above a dumpster from the Hilton.
Air is set at 68 connot be lowered.
Breakfast service was extremely slow. Took 1 hour to get our food.
Forced us to eat at the Hilton next door which was an excellent experience.

Will stay at the Hilton next year for a couple hundred more.
