Commander Beach House Hotel

I stayed in the Commander Beach House Hotel for a week with 3 of my friends. The rooms weren’t awful but they were definitely not fit for 4 people. If you are looking into this place and have a group bigger than 2, I wouldn’t stay here. There isn’t much space for bags or anything. I would’ve liked if the shower had a plastic curtain with the regular one so the water wouldn’t get all over the floor. The location is great and there is a pool across the street with the Commander Hotel. Me and my friends thought the room service was very unfortunate because we only received service once throughout our week even though we had the sign on the door multiple times. Our trash cans were full and we needed new towels but didn’t receive service even after we called the front desk. Overall, the only complaints about this place is the room service. The staff at the hotel is super nice but the beach house hotel does not have any staff there.

After reading the reviews online and already paying for the reservations for stay at the beach house, I was very nervous and worried about what the place would be like when we got there. It was just my husband and myself. We stayed the King Deluxe room on the first floor. Yes it was small, but it was perfect for just he and I. We didn’t need or expect much other than a clean place to stay. It was very clean, there was a pleasant clean smell throughout the building, the rockers on the front porch were nice, the price was good, and the staff was friendly. There was an ice machine, soda, and snack machine conveniently available. It was within walking distance to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and will be back! .

Rooms were Nice. Could use some updating but not too bad for the price. Short walk to the boardwalk and beach.
