Carousel Hotel

We have been staying at the Carousel Oceanfront for the last 5 summers. The location is great and convenient, especially with young kid, and the staff is very friendly. Each year we stay we always have an issue with the lack of house keeping. Our first year, 2021, there was no house keeping due to Covid measures (we were told that the hotel wanted to limit the amount of people in and out of rooms, which we understood). Second summer, 2022-2024, house keeping improved, our room was vacuumed and beds were made, bathroom was wiped down. We just returned from our vacation a couple of weeks ago and the house keeping was nonexistent. When we checked in the room was clean but throughout our stay, the sand remained on the floor and rug, was the bathroom had fresh towels but nothing wiped down. We felt like this summer the hotel was going downhill and probably struggling financially. That being said, we are very neat people and clean up after our kids, so the room wasn't filthy, but when I get out of the shower, I prefer a clean floor to stand on, not grit and sand. I was cleaning up the sand on the floor with the towels. We did look at other hotels while staying because honestly, the lack of cleanliness did ruin our trip. I hope next summer management figures out a way to maintain the rooms, even if it's just vacuuming and making the beds every other day.

Great location, friendly staff, and the room was just as it showed in the pictures. We had the direct ocean view room and the sunrise was amazing! 3 restaurants - each having different food. Bamboo Lounge had a nice happy hour inside. Additionally there's a snack stand next to the ice rink.

I would say this place is more for kids with the indoor arcade, ice skating rink, and events but its not just for kids.

We loved our stay and would go there again.

We enjoy staying at the Carousel. We rent a private condo so I cannot comment on the rooms, but everything else throughout our stay was nice. Everyone that we talked to/encountered were friendly and were not rude. We rent a room that is higher up so we do have a beautiful ocean view. The outdoor pool bar and restaurant are nice. They are pricey but what else can you expect? If you leave and go elsewhere, you pay just as much. It's great to have the option to eat downstairs if you prefer. The hotel has fun things for children to do. We will continue to come back based on our own personal experience.
