Bonita Beach

Bonita Beach has a great location at 81st Street. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The view was nice also even though we had city view and partial ocean view. We were only about a block from the beach, so the partial view of the ocean was very calming. And they had plenty of parking for guests.
There were some minor issues with our room, though. The security bar on the door needed to be rescrewed back in, and the carpet was ripped in places and worn in others.
I would stay here again despite the minor issues. The rooms were inviting and clean.

This used to be a FAMILY FRIENDLY hotel to stay at. During our recent stay we had to deal with parties happening at night, which woke up my family, drug addicts asleep outside the pool area at 3am, and a staff that was there to offer minimal help, at best. You will be "sweet talked" at the front desk by Marvin, who will "make everything right", but he will NOT return calls, and even the managers higher than Marvin, will not return calls. This is very sad since we stayed here multiple times, but the entire atmosphere at this hotel has changed, in a negative light. If you would like a hotel to party, this is the one for you, but if you want to bring your family, STAY FAR AWAY!

We had a great stay! Room was nicely sized, plus a balcony! Small kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, microwave, dishes and silverware. The beds and pillows were ultra comfy. We had a small glitch with the TV not working, but they promptly came and replaced it. Location is ideal for good restaurants and things to do. 1 block walk to beach. Would definitely stay again!
