Bonita Beach

Good location. We came in and our room had a huge crack in the balcony door which exposed the room to hot air coming in, with only a portable ac unit the room was 78 degrees. They changed our room so no harm no foul. Next morning we woke up and there was no hot water to shower. I called the front desk and they said it would be fixed soon. We went to the beach and came back at 5, still no hot water. Finally got fixed around 8-9 o’clock at night. Besides that, everything was ok till the last night. We planned on a slow relaxing night at the hotel pool to hang out till 10pm because that’s what they advertise. We got kicked out at 8:30 so they could clean it. This was an awful place. Do yourself a favor and somewhere else.

CAUTION:
I have written a review on Hotels.com for this hotel and while the service desk was helpful, there were no other redeeming factors about the hotel besides the short distance from the beach. The air conditioning in the lobby, elevators, and hallways either does not work or is intentionally turned off, the wallpaper in the hallways and rooms is peeling everywhere, our bathroom had a long hair attached to the hair dryer, the shower head was leaking, and lastly, I got contact dermititis after sleeping on the bed for 3 nights. The owner(s) of Bonita Beach Hotel should be ashamed. If it weren't for the price or how close it is to the beach, I never would have chosen this hotel. A terrible place to stay with loved ones.

Staff is super nice and courteous. Building is old but maintained and kept clean. However the bathrooms were horrible!! Ours wouldn't even flush a piece of toilet paper and they kept a plunger in our bathroom for these occasions. We ended up using the public bathroom across the hall from us the entire stay.
Great view to watch the Fireworks set off Tuesday nights at the restaurant across the street!
