The Beachcomber is my hidden gem on 75th Street. It’s so close to the water, I’m setting my chair up in no time. It’s close enough to go from the beach to the room on a beach day.
The hotel has been family owned for decades. They’re nice people, they offer great customer service. The staff are nice and do a great job. It’s monitored by the owners & cameras. It’s quiet, clean, neat, has hot water with good pressure, some kitchen supplies, all rooms have a balcony, the room is a good size, with comfortable chairs, a cafe table and chairs, and a comfortable bed, and new carpet. It has an elevator, and 1 parking space per room. It’s affordable. The pool is well maintained, and there’s plenty of seating It’s close to awesome boutiques, and a short drive to the boardwalk. Need something? Have a question? Go to THEIR website for the number at the front desk to call ahead and ask.
I’ve enjoyed another great stay at the Beachcomber and look forward to many more!

We stayed here for a weekend. I’ve seen mixed reviews online. Here’s what I can tell you. The parking lot is smaller, but I was told in the lobby it’s enough for one car per room. Which was suitable for us. When we were given our room key, it was to a room that had already been assigned to someone. While, everyone involved was understanding about it, this could’ve been a large safety issue. There is an elevator to get to the upper floors, however, it’s very slow and it’s faster tenfold to take the stairs. When we arrived to our room, it was very specious, but it did have a musty smell. Upon further inspection, our A/C unit had black mold. I did my best to clean it up, however, housekeeping should pay better attention to those small details. The A/C kept up with our room fine because we kept the curtains closed and turned the air down to a lower temperature. The layout of the room does put the dining table in front of the A/C unit, so we moved the table to allow the air to disperse throughout the room. The dining room chairs still had food crumbs and looked as though they had not been wiped down. The remainder of the room was clean. The bed and sheets were very crisp and white. The bathroom is small. Only one person can use it at a time, however, this isn’t a huge deal because the mirror and sink are in a separate area from the toilet and shower (bathroom). There wasn’t many toiletries besides toilet paper and hand soap. This was fine except that we were planning to use the kitchenette and there’s no dish soap provided. The location is great because it’s right on the beach. All the staff was friendly and housekeeping checked on us to make sure we had enough towels. There are some amenities besides being beachfront, there’s a TV with xfinity and an outdoor pool. The pool was very clean. Would I stay here again, yes, BUT they need to get the mold under control in these rooms. My allergies were driving me crazy - sneezing, watery eyes, coughing etc. It may be an older building, but it’s been taken care of. With a little TLC it could be better.

Could not believe how dirty the room was. We had to buy cleaning supplies and had to clean the tub just to be able to get the sand off our toddler in the bathroom there was so much black mold! The floors were nasty, beds had stained sheets. We have been coming to Ocean City twice a year for 20 years and this is hands down the dirtiest place we have stayed. The cockroach spray was so bad in the elevator we had to hold our breath. We booked the room for the full weekend and left after the first night. When we brought pictures down to the office the manager Adam at the desk laughed and said hes not the one cleaning the rooms and told us to post a review so other ppl can see. All these good reviews must have been paid for or friends of the hotel. Do not fall for it. WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!
