Beach Bum West-O

The rooms need some help. The lighting is a little weird but does work with what you need. The beds are ok but could use a update. The bathroom for our room, the toilet paper holder is falling off the wall, The tub has stains and just looks bad. You cant lock the bathroom door so kids just come right in. The sink is a floating counter and has holes in the wall under it. To get to the room upstairs you have to go up these wood steps that could use some work and doest look like it would hold you. (It did hold up). I would not get a top room if you have heavy or a lot of stuff to carry, or you are got to get a work out. The room needs help to make it feel nice. No pictures on the walls just a small tv and a wall ac unit that does work. Window could use something to block the lighting outside at night. (I like it dark in the room.)
Outside is nice well kept area. The playground is a nice touch and clean, the water is a nice with a seating area and fire pit. I stayed for the night and it worked for us. I probably only come back if it was a cabin. The reviews on them seem better. I had 2 kids and a wife. Check in was easy and friendly. They did offer breakfast but it was like 3-4 things nothing great. Could be better.

Check in/out - extremely easy, they have a front office upon entering the area. They also have an ice cream cooler in there, shirts, s’more kits, and sell fire wood.

Outdoor area - so nice!! They have a pool open til 9 pm that was kept clean, o site laundry room, volleyball net, small basketball court, fire pits and charcoal grills at each site with a picnic table, and a little lake area with a dock that was super cute and nice to sit at in the morning and evening.

Cabin - we stayed in cabin 6. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room/dining area, bathroom, and closed in porch with rocking chairs. It was clean upon arrival, air was on and cooled down in the cabin ready for our stay. All the beds had bedding which was really nice and one less thing we had to pack. Also, the kitchen had a full size fridge, stove, microwave, and coffee pot! I also thought it was great the cabinets had dishes/utensils/pans for cooking/eating. The screened in porch was a great addition especially for the rainy days we had.

Also, it was a pet friendly cabin and the entire area was great for our dog to join along for vacation this year.

I definitely recommend and look forward to going back next year.

Stayed in one-bedroom cabin they need to have a nightstand or end tables in the bedroom there is none also another outlet on the other side and perhaps one more light in the bedroom. Also in the shower stall if they can make it have a removable shower head instead of a fixed shower head it works for so many people a lot better when using the fixed shower head it doesn't aim properly.
Overall it was a wonderful experience it was clean it was very peaceful. Staff was wonderful.
