Just stayed for the Oceans Calling fest and it was a great experience! You can’t beat the location! It’s an older building so just know even though they do keep it up nicely, it’s not fancy. It’s probably one of the original places there. The towels and sheets and stuff are clean and soft, the beds were comfortable enough to get a great night sleep. If you have problems with steps, that could be an issue. I would definitely stay there again. The lady at the front desk was so sweet too!

What a great on the beach hotel. Yes, it's 1950's funky...but that's the whole charm of the place! Excellent location right on the boardwalk. Plenty of parking. Nice little coffee shop in the lobby. The manager and staff were very nice and hospitable. The room i had came with a kitchenette and a side balcony. Ok, so it's got a 1960's era stove, and the ceiling is only 7' high, but the room was large and the bed comfy!! And it's very affordable. Yes! I'd stay there again!!

From start to finish, our stay was a complete disaster. At check-in, the front desk receptionist called my husband “stupid” after failing to provide our room number or any directions to where the room was located. That level of unprofessionalism set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Later, as we were preparing to go to the beach, a different hotel employee yelled at my 15-year-old son for carrying two towels from the room. He told my son to “buy towels for $5 on the boardwalk.” I completely understand if hotel towels aren’t allowed at the beach, but that message could have been delivered politely rather than through hostility directed at a teenager.

I raised these concerns with Brian at the front desk. He was kind, empathetic, and professional in addressing my complaint, but unfortunately, he was unable to secure a refund for the second night of our stay.

Because of these experiences, we decided to check out early — even though our refund request was denied. As I was preparing to leave, the same receptionist from check-in attempted an “apology,” but in doing so, called my husband a liar. She claimed that there had been a language barrier because she is still learning English and suggested my husband misunderstood what she mumbled. However, I was present during the initial interaction and witnessed how rude she was. Whether or not the word “stupid” was intentional, no guest should ever feel disrespected during their very first interaction at a hotel.

We planned this family vacation to relax and enjoy our time together, but this experience was filled with negativity and disappointment. Between the unprofessional staff, the hostility toward my family, and the tiny room that was barely larger than a closet, our trip was ruined.

While I appreciate Brian’s professionalism, this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. I highly recommend that you avoid this location at all costs.
