Upon inspection of the place, it was dirty. There was food and debris left on the trash can in the kitchen from other renters. There was sand still all over the floor. There were still rings of dirt on dressers underneath lamps, that were clearly not clean for years. Under the sink in the kitchen was a dirty old, Moldy Sponge left there from however long ago. The dishes were dirty and each one had to be cleaned upon arrival. We were not too happy.
This place was also advertised as an Oceanfront View. While standing in the kitchen looking out at our view, we had a wonderful view of the kiddie pool, parking lot and other condos. If we stood up against the window and turned to face the beach we could kind of see a little of the ocean over top of the walkway to the indoor pool. This was 100% not Oceanfront!
This was also advertised to come with linens. When I hear linens, I think sheets, towels, hand towels, etc. All things needed for your bed and bathroom. The linen bag was fully stocked with everything we needed except for comforters/blankets. We did not bring these, as Linens were provided. Luckily, there was a mall across the street that we could go buy our own blankets for our vacation on. If only this could have been avoided. I emailed Shoreline 2 weeks before our arrival to see what was included in the linen package and what the condo offered. I never received a response! Great customer service.
Lastly, upon arrival we turned on the TVs. This place was advertised to have DirecTV and TVs in each room. The DirecTV worked upon arrival, but the living room TV did not. It was broken and glitching and unwatchable. The TV in the small bedroom was not hooked up to DirecTV at all, in fact the remote didn't work for it and it didn't even have a fire stick or Chromecast so you could cast from your phone. You could watch dvds, but who has DVDs anymore? I called Shoreline right away to let them know about the TV because I did not want to be charged for that. Their maintenance person arrived promptly with a solution of a new TV. He took some time to set up the new TV and got it to work. Unfortunately, in the process he knocked off the DirecTV and was unable to get it back on. This left all other TVs not working, and just the new one now working with a fire stick. Unlike the office staff, this man was incredibly helpful, and brought another fire stick, so we could get another TV to function during our stay. We had to result in using one of our own Chromecast that we happen to bring for a third tv. The small kids bedroom still had nothing for the entire visit. Shoreline told me that Sea Watch was in charge of getting the DirecTV to work. We contacted Sea Watch multiple times with no response. Shoreline did not follow up in any way shape or form. Again, great customer service.
When contacting them about these issues, I was told it was my fault for not properly letting them know of ALL issues during my stay and they will stand by their unit. They stated that linens dont come with blankets and we should have known. (I would have known if they returned me email 2 weeks before). They said that I should have told them the place was dirty to have a team come in and clean after the fact. We didn't want to do that at that point. Why have their bad cleaners in again with all of our stuff at an inconvent time to ruin the vacation more. I cleaned it myself.
I will not be staying at Sea Watch again nor renting with Shoreline properties.
