Ocean 1 Hotel & Suites

We really like Ocean 1 and stay 1-2 times a year. They have some oceanfront and ocean view rooms with nice balcony. No pool or laundry and parking can be difficult. Staff is very nice and location is awesome. Some rooms have jacuzzi. Elevator is quick. Nice size tv. I recommend you bring plastic cups, silverware and plates).

I edited this review to 5 Stars because the manager and the staff deserve it. This is not the Four Seasons if you are expecting luxury this is not it. However, budget friendly with a great location, clean, safe, and good staff.
The rooms are not fancy just bare minimum but for a quick night or two trip to the ocean and boardwalk the location is perfect. It was clean enough that I didn’t feel gross, the sheets and pillows had fresh, clean, stain free linens. I have read the 1 star reviews and I did not find any signs of bugs, I had countless towel exchanges, parking is as described 1 spot per room a block and a half away, and the staff was around and cleaning all day. My biggest issue was the key card had to be replace every single time I closed the room door. Sometimes it wouldn’t even work after being changed out. So I had to go to the front desk for a new key every single time I left the room. If I was staying more than two nights this would be a huge issue for me. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were small but the balcony with the ocean view made up for it in my mind.

We were a little concerned by reading the reviews. We had an incredible stay. Very close to the boardwalk, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. We had an ocean front, but the location could not be beat. Will definitely stay again.
