Only a few steps away, enjoy your day on the well guarded beach, bike riding, roller, or stroll the boardwalk. Catch the tram for a liesurely sightseeing boardwalk tour from beginning to end. Want a little more action? You will find jet skiing, parasailing, dinner cruises and miniature golf just a short walk to the bay. It takes only minutes to reach great golf courses or go antiquing in nearby Berlin, the town where "Runaway Bride" was filmed. Of course, don't forget the short trip to Assateague Island to see the famous wild ponies.

This year our family decided to try a new hotel for our annual trip. Unfortunately this hotel was not ideal. Mouse droppings in the kitchenette cabinets, cockroaches, broken balcony door knobs, and peeling wallpaper. Parking is horrible. The spaces are super tight and far away from hotel. If you attempt to move your car closer to unload/repack they have rude staff members taking photos of your license plate and turn it into parking authorities. Facility was made aware of issues and nothing was done as a result. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I can now see why so many reviews of this hotel were complaining about parking!! First of all, there are maybe 6 or 7 parking spaces that are actually next to the hotel. The other parking lot that is for this hotel is about 2 blocks down. When we got there (there were 2 couples, so 2 vehicles), we were told that they only give one parking pass per room!! All the lady said is that we could pay for parking on the street if we wanted to! For 5 days?? No thanks!! Thankfully, we found a free parking lot for the other vehicle that was safe, but that was also 2 blocks down!! They should really specify this before arrival! We finally got up to our room. It was clean for the most part, but each day, we only got 2 towels for 4 people!! When we tried to ask for more, the front desk told us that housekeeping would come by soon with more towels. What if we don't want to wait around for housekeeping to take a shower?! We also had to keep asking for toilet paper! After we got settled into our room, there were cars parked where we were told we were not allowed to park. While we were packing up and getting ready to leave we had parked behind a car that was already parked there because we had to haul all of our luggage and bags outside (there were NO luggage carts left) one of the employees came outside and harassed us repeatedly asking us if we were moving soon!! Like hello!!!!! We are trying! Give us a minute to get our stuff since a lot of the time, our cars could not be close to us, and we had to park blocks away! Maybe if yall had enough parking spaces that are actually close to the hotel, people wouldn't have to pull their vehicles close to the door to get what they need! If you get cold at night, bring your own blanket because theirs are paper thin. I don't think that our floor was ever mopped because all of our feet kept turning black from walking on the floor. We also had to use shopping bags for garbage because they would not give us extra bags for our garbage. The only good things about this hotel were the location on the boardwalk, the view from the balcony, and the mini kitchen area.

We are describing this hotel and amenities as average and 'typical' for the boardwalk area. As with most post-covid nonsense, maid service had been modified. The staff was very good at leaving necessities (towels, toilet paper, etc.) at your door on a daily basis. If you don't want to make your own bed, empty trash or sweep your floor, maid service is available on request -- like here and nearly everywhere, gone are the days of "regular and routine' for most services and events.

However, Oceans 1 was clean, had comfortable beds, friendly and welcoming staff and the boardwalk location is excellent.
