The hotel is beautiful and feels new. Our room, an efficiency suite, offers plenty of space for a family of five. Our room has 2 queen beds, a pullout sofa, 2 really nice arm chairs, along with desk and office rolling chair for seating and sleeping. The "kitchen" offers a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and small 2 burner electric cook top. The hotel is under construction (December 2025) but as a guest, you would never know. The rooms, hallways, lobby, and entrance all have fresh coat of beautiful colors and new furnishings.
The staff we encountered are pleasant and cheerful. They appear to enjoy their work and interactions with guests and each other. The manager on duty for the weekend is beyond pleasant, efficient, and responsive to offering assistance.
Heads up:
if you are shorter than 5'6" (like me), the beds are on platform and height is about 3.5 ft off the floor. (Hip height for 5'3" me)
- shower curtain does not protect from water escaping and pooling on the floor by the tub

I had a short trip from Christmas Con in Edison NJ Friday night and then Ocean City Con in Ocean City Maryland and had a few hours to rest in between, LA Quinta was able to help me find an affordable room that was 2 mins away from the convention. I had both a late check in at 2am and they were able to help me get in with easy and with the late night drive I slept in and they were so accommodating they got me out with no worries. The staff was kind all 3 shifts and was expecting me. Definitely would recommend them to anyone going to Ocean City. Next time I hope to have time to try the breakfast and pool.

We booked the room for a 3-day festival.
We chose this hotel 3 miles from the location with a lot of the reason being breakfast; that was a mistake and everything else has been terrible.
We didn’t arrive to the hotel until 2am due to travel delays. Check-in was fairly easy.
Apparently the employees don’t turn on the electricity to the room until it gets assigned.
Our 1st room was a sauna-it was so hot and humid that I started sweating. Also, because the refrigerator had just been turned on, it wasn’t cold (because that’s super useful when you have items that need to be refrigerated 🙄)
I called the front desk and was told that she would try to adjust the temperature (please explain why the front desk has any control over my room?)
In addition to these issues, the door to the “patio” wouldn’t open or lock.
We changed rooms with the 2nd one having some type of leak in between the toilet and the shower. We threw a towel there and tried to sleep as it took us 12 hours to drive here and we were exhausted.
When speaking with the woman at the front desk, I told her that it was unacceptable that the air conditioner, refrigerator and patio door were not in working order. She agreed and said she would leave a note for the manager 🙄. I have yet to hear from anybody at this establishment.
Breakfast Saturday morning:
Plain eggs that taste like they came from frozen, plain potatoes that taste like nothing, sausage links (no bacon or patties-only sausage links) of which there is a sign that says only take 3….if I am paying for this room (not cheaply) there should not be a limit, bagels (plain and cinnamon raisin), moldy bread, blueberry muffins, some other type of bread, and waffles.
The batter dispenser for the waffles was empty. One of the toasters is broken as well as one of the waffle makers.
This was a huge disappointment as we could have stayed closer and fended for breakfast ourselves.
I had really hoped the breakfast was worth the extra distance…it is NOT
The story continues; I have tried multiple times to use the free WiFi network and I get kicked off of it every 2-3 minutes. I again called down to the front desk only to be told that she would “leave a note for the manager.”
When we got back from the 1st day of our festival, the WiFi is still not working on a consistent basis and of course the manager who was supposed to fix these issues wasn’t here and in no way tried to contact us.
We have also come to find out that besides the front desk having control over the air conditioning from the front desk (this feels like a violation), we are also locked out from turning the air conditioner below 65. I feel as though if I’m paying for this room I should be able to adjust the thermostat how I would like. I don’t even necessarily want to turn it below 65 but the air is humid and stagnant and I would like air movement. I can adjust the thermostat to fan mode but then it won’t automatically switch to air conditioning if the temperature goes up. A fan in an environment like this would have been a needed addition.
Both beds are super squeaky and the sheets feel like the very cheapest you could get from the dollar store 🤬
A couple of decent things about the hotel: under hotel parking (like a garage) so I feel my car is a little safer, bike racks, a tap by the bike racks to rinse your feet or items off from sand before you go into the hotel.
If we were able to we would have changed hotels!! Because we are at a 3-day festival that is during the day and due to limited availability of other establishments, we will tough it out.
We will NEVER book with La Quinta again!
