Holiday Inn Ocean City

The staff is amazing. Dionte went above and beyond to help me and Millie. Everyone was just spectacular. Do whatever you can to keep them. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The building is a bit aged and shows some normal wear and tear. I would stay here again just to enjoy the swim up bar at the pool and be pampered by the staff. Put most high dollar hotels to shame.

The guy that checked us in (forgot to grab his name but he was in his early 30’s with super nice eyes) was the friendliest front desk person i’ve ever met. he asked us if we were celebrating anything & we told him it was our birthday week. After checking our id’s he gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate! the rooms were clean, room service was friendly, pool was nice, outdoor bar was nice and the hotel is steps from the beach. definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

Your experience will depend on if you get a renovated room or not - there needs to be a way to select when booking. The website pictures renovated rooms, but many rooms do not look like that. Old rooms are disgusting, smell like stale smoke, black stain the tub, dirty carpet, broken furniture and super uncomfortable bed. They look like you are in a roadside motel. We asked to switch and we're given a renovated room, which was very nice and clean. I love the full fridge and kitchenette. I did almost fall in the tub - very slippery.
Beach is super close, and they have nice outdoor facilities with hammocks and fireplace. Pool is small and although they have 2 hot tubs, we only went once. Pool area is very old and run down, condensation falls on your head from the ceiling.
Reception was very nice, offered a giftcard for late check in and accommodated late check out. I would only come back again if we could get the renovated room guaranteed.
