Fish Tales Boardwalk Inn

I recently stayed here to Celebrate Father's Day. The front desk staff was very Polite and Accommodating, check in process was very efficient. The location of the Hotel was steps from the boardwalk with a beautiful view of the Beach and Boardwalk activities, BUT The room furniture is outdated including the pool furniture and lounge chairs. The room also smelled old, airflow was initially very hot and closed in since the windows are not able to open. The shared balcony area is outside the front of the main door. Human hair was on the Mattress cover beneath the sheets, and I also observed upon check out a room attendant in the next-door room just pull up the sheets from the previous occupant bed without changing them. There are much better hotel/ Motels to stay in the boardwalk for the pricing.

Rooms were great for 3 adults. We chose not to have our room serviced every day, but I did see the cleaning ladies working hard. The location is perfect. Walk to the end of our hotel and your on the boardwalk, and then take a few more steps and bam you're on the beach.

UPDATED REVIEW ..Look at the Reviews for Ocean Mecca before booking...This is my review from a brief experience this past weekend....ALSO DO NOT BOOK FROM ANYONE BUT THE HOTEL ITSELF, other reservation sites have been creating scams.

The location of the hotel is great, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful — especially with parking, which we really appreciated. We were on a last-minute weekend road trip and booked this place around 10 PM, as it was one of the few options still available. The total cost for the night was just over $500, which is definitely overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. We walked in to find a fly swatter hanging on the wall, noticeable stains on the carpet, and an uncomfortable mattress with dated bedding. The overall condition made us uncomfortable, and given that we were already eager to get back on the road and closer to family, we decided to leave immediately after checking in.

To their credit, the staff kindly refunded us, which I appreciated — that’s the main reason I wanted to give them 2-3 stars. Also, the manager, a very friendly female, has AMAZING customer service skills which is also why I am giving this place more stars.

This place has potential thanks to its location and staff, but it really needs some updates or a more reasonable price point to match the current condition.
