Coastal Palms Beach Hotel

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Coastal Palms.

Pros: Clean room, friendly staff, quiet despite being on the highway. Close to the beach. Comfortable beds. Ocean and bay views from 5th floor room. Carts to transport luggage. CVS and Wawa across the street.

Cons: Extremely small bathroom. Uncomfortable fold out couch. Lurching elevator. Need to make u-turns to get to hotel parking. Parking spots are narrow and too close to walls. Nowhere to sit and eat except on couch.

Our hotel room was straight up dirty. There was a sandy used towel in our bathroom when we checked in, and the pull out couch had for sure not been cleaned. We opened it up and found candy wrappers and chip crumbs all over the mattress. We ended up having to leave due to thousands of kids surrounding the area, drinking on the balconies, and we were not given a refund. We thought this place would be nice but the cars and staircases up to the rooms are completely open to the public. This place is dirty, unsafe, and you should not stay here unless you like scam hotels.

This is the worst hotel we’ve ever been in. This is the first negative review I’ve ever been written. We checked in Thursday afternoon but when we opened the room door (yes the room key they gave us indeed worked), we were shocked that someone else was already living in the room. We went back to the front desk and thought they can simply change a room. But no they told us they cannot, because we were assigned to that particular room in their system, and asked us to wait until their manager came on site to figure out what was going wrong. We asked several times if we can go to another room while they were figuring things out, but were told no we have to wait. We waited for at least an hour until it can be solved. The room was next to the street and was very noisy. And they told us that was the only room left. What was worse was that the air conditioning stopped working the next night. At around 9 or 10pm we asked for a resolution, but we were told we need to wait until the next day. It was a hot July day and the kids were tied and we have to stay in the steaming room for a night. The next morning, paints started to melt and fall maybe due to the heat. We checked out. Will never come back.
