      The annual Mayor’s Old-Fashioned Christmas\nEvening is schedule
 d for Friday\, December 6\, 2024 from 5:30pm to\n8:30pm in the mini park a
 nd municipal parking lot on Clarke Avenue\,\nacross from City Hall in Down
 town Pocomoke. \n\n \n\n            This event will feature ma
 ny family-friendly\nactivities including a Santa House\, as well as Christ
 mas crafts and\ncookie decorating for the children. The town will light a 
 large\nbonfire for roasting s’mores. Community vendors will serve free\n
 refreshments including hot chocolate\, sweet treats\, hotdogs\, drinks\,\n
 and more.\n\n            Live entertainment will be provided al
 l night\nbeginning with music from the school choirs of Pocomoke Elementar
 y\,\nMiddle and High Schools. At 6:00pm the Mayor and City Council will\nl
 ight the town’s Christmas Tree. All About Dance Academy will then\ntake 
 the stage followed by holiday music from Costal Sound beginning\nat 7:00pm
 .\n\n            A holiday wreath contest and silent auction\nw
 ill be held to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. The public can bid on\nthe
  wreaths decorated by Pocomoke area businesses and residents.\nPrizes will
  be awarded onstage at 8:00pm to the top three businesses\nand individuals
  with the highest bid wreaths. Information and\nregistration forms can be 
 found on downtownpocomoke.com.\n\n            Admission is free
 \, though vendors may request\nsmall donations to support their organizati
 ons. Guests are encouraged\nto bring a canned good\, nonperishable item or
